So besides being able to get into the parks for the next 15 months, what else do i get? i.e. hotel or restaurant discounts...

Who has the 15 month power pass deal?

Power Pass Blackout Dates:

Easter/Spring Break: April 10-14, 2006; April 15, 2006 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
Summer Weekdays: June 26-30, 2006; July 3-7, 10-14, 17-21, 24-28, 2006; July 31-August 4, 2006
Winter Holidays: December 23, 2006 – January 1, 2007

There arent any discounts using this pass for hotel, dining or shopping. It is still a great deal $ wise.

Who has the 15 month power pass deal?

I got it through AAA - it is a special promotion $105ish. Cost about 8 bucks more than the 2 day-2 park pass I intended on buying.

I bought 4 from AAA last year, ours are good through 6/17.

I called Universal today and they said the Power Passes offered NO discounts.

We did save 10% at Hard Rock Cafe last year with AAA card.

No, you need the preferred pass to get any discounts. That extra $80 can save you a bundle.

What you have is fine. In 15 months, you can probably upgrade to the preferred pass for a few bucks more when you renew.
In my case, I have a preferred which gives us the discounts and free parking, while the wife and kid have the power passes.
The discounts at all the food places and shops in the park add up, but I wouldn't worry too much, unless you think you'll be driving up a few times this year.
