Have this morning booked for August, I'm so excited. DD16 & DS14 don't even know we're going yet. DD didn't think she was going on holiday anywhere this year! DH & I went to Las Vegas in Feb & DS has been skiing with school so it will be a great surprise for her.

Got what I think is a very good deal from Expedia. Flights with Virgin & car for £444 each.

Great news Sue - when are you going? There are a few of us DISers gonna be around then :)

Brilliant price! bet your kids will be made up when they find out!!!

Well done, great price, cost us £533 each flight only and had to use 2000 miles each to get it down to that.
Do you know where you are staying yet?

We are going to Vegas in Oct for 1st time, don't know what to expect but will give it a go for 4 nights before we fly over to Disneyland CA.

Hi Disney Owl, fantastic :). How long are you going to keep it a surprise from your kids? Bet they will be over the moon :)

Wayne, Las Vegas is like an "grown-up Disneyland" (was going to say "adult", but that wasn't what I meant... well it could be, but you can completely avoid any sleazy bits without any problem). Kids will also be amazed by Las Vegas - plenty to amuse them there.

Las Vegas is completely OTT, on a huge scale, lots of great hotels, LOTS of food, lots of shopping, lots of shows/concerts and plenty of thrill rides (roller coasters) and other things to do (Hoover Dam, Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, go up the stratosphere tower, take a helicopter to the Grand Canyon or just along the Strip etc). Many of the hotels/casinos are amazing in their own right and well worth "touring" (although I think that the under 21s have to stay out of the casino area - although they can use the main through-fares to get through them).

Will have to wait until my little Lucy is maybe a little bigger before we get there (she is heading for 2 now) - Disney World is more her cup of tea for the next few years (Las Vegas is a bit too much "all go" and noise for her at the moment).

Which hotel are you staying at wayneg?

That really is a great price, Sue. What are your dates? Like Wayne, we paid in excess of £500 and had to use Flying Club miles to get that price. On top of that, we ended up having to fly in and out of Miami.

Happy planning! :beach:

 Great news & what a great price , well done

I wonder if this is some pricing error with Expedia? Direct with Virgin all dates are over £800 each and they are supposed to have a lowest price guarantee.
Don't worry if it is they will honour it, we booked last August thru Airnet flying with BMI at less than £300 each the day before and the day after they were over £700, I suspect it was a glitch in the pricing but had no problems. Same thing happened with some BA flights for this August people on here booked at a very low price I missed them by a few minute waiting for DW to come out of a meeting.

Not booked anything for Vegas yet only just booked the flights about a week ago. I am considering seeing The Cirque show "Love" Beetles related. Did Cirque at Downtown Disney and was not thrilled but DS and DW loved it. Last night looked at Elton John tickets but £125 each, not paying £375 to see someone sing. My brother goes to Vegas every 2 months so waiting for some advice from him, he owns and stores a quad bike out there but thats one thing I will not be doing:rotfl2:

PLEASE don't tell my husband about that price!! I well managed to con him into spending way more that he likes spending on a holiday and it certainly wasn't £444 per person!! Mind you we have accommodation too but even still!! Well done!! Your kids will be so thrilled!!

Wow! What a price! Never seen anything like that for August before; shows that leaving it to later can sometimes pay off. You'll have a great time :goodvibes

We have just booked through Expedia also. Two adults and two children staying at Disneys Pop Century for 7 nights £1,805! Flying with Virgin!
Very excited. Have a great time!
