Just booked WDW Military Discount Rate for October/Nov 2012

I just got done (Aug 3 at 4:15PM) from changing my reservations at the end of October to have the Military Discount Hotel rate which was a 40% discount at the Grand Floridian (they did not have the main building concierge available) so we moved to outerbuilding concierge. They were able to leave the package intact (removed the tickets) so I still have the Deluxe dining. You have to pay for the dining, but you are able to get it with the room only discount. So relieved. This and the 1 day Southwest Air sale is very sweet! Saves $2000!

They said things were still a bit crazy but that they did have that the rates take effect today; she had to put me on hold to confirm everything was entered correctly.

We just booked POLY CL under next years promotion for our April stay!!!!!!

I just called to apply the military discount to my October reservation (3 rooms at the Poly). The CM told me that the military discount was posted on the website in error. Some people did book with the discount but they took it down immediately and the CMs are unable to book with it now. She also indicated that when this happens the discount will be announced soon.
