First time staying @ BLT for two nights, in a LV studio. Anyone, who has stayed there before what can you tell me about it?? TIA!!;):thumbsup2

We stayed at BLT two weeks ago with a MK view... we loved it. The laundry room is on the 1st floor, near the North Elevators. TOTWL is great... you also can get a good view of fireworks in an elevator lobby on an upper floor.(North elevators)
Have a great time!

My parents stayed in a 12th floor LV studio this summer (we were in a dedicated 2BR next door). The view they had was good - pool area with Bay Lake beyond - and even glimpses of the fireworks over top of the TotWL.

The studio room itself was nice enough but nothing special - likely b/c we were blown away by the 2BR. It is a bit odd that the vanity area in the studio is directly opposite the kitchenette - but no biggie if you aren't trying to actually prepare meals in the studio. The studio seemed to be on the small side too - even compared to regular rooms at AKL, WL, or CSR. It was fine for my parents b/c they didn't spend much time in the room anyway.

(On future trips, my parents will just stay with us in a 2BR - there was more than enough room for them!)

Just the two of you? You should be fine. But if you have children, you are going to be crowded in the mini-studio at BLT.

Thanks, for all of the feedback. We will have our children with us. Now your making me think we should have done a one bedroom. But it is just for two nights, so even if we are crowded it will not be for very many nights. Since then we will be going to a one bedroom at SSR....We just figured we have never done a studio and this was a way to use less points, and try out BLT....

One more thing to be aware of.

Recently, Disney announced they will be making some changes coming the BLT studios...

Member feedback fuels resort enhancement...

"Members share some insightful perspectives, and we're excited to be able to turn that feedback into great enhancements," said Sonya Deese-Byrnes, General Manager of Disney Vacation Club Resorts. "We can't wait to hear Members' feedback when they experience the changes."

Plans call for crews to move one of the kitchenette sinks into the bathroom, add a lock to the bathroom door and a full-length mirror to the kitchenette, and tighten a small identified gap in the bathroom door. Other Bay Lake Tower enhancements scheduled for completion this fall include a new jogging path and fire pit.

Can't wait to hear more feedback. Have a 1br LV for February. Did anyone have issues with check in? Anyone take advantage of the bar area with viewing area(forget the name of it)? How long did it take you to walk to the Contemp. restaurants?

Like to hear that Disney hears our complaints.
