We were not expecting a trip to WDW but daughter got notice of Dining Plan included so we are cashing in Disney rewards points and booked trip. Now the fun part of planning parks and dining will begin. We tend to be "combat style" planners as opposed to laid back vacationers. Do DISers still wear green ribbons?

What fantastic news!!! Congratulations on 'graduating' from cancer treatments. The fight is hard and you are picking a wonderful way to celebrate your survival. That brings a huge smile to my face!
(I'm in my 5th year of remission)

Congrats on both accounts! :goodvibes

The lime green ribbons kinda got replaced by the lime green mickey heads from home depot a few years back but you don't see them that much anymore in the parks (or I don't).

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

So happy to hear good news!!! (we hear too much of the bad stuff everyday!)

Have a fantastic trip!!!

This is amazing news!!!
My mom is battling breast and lung, I so wanted to take her to WDW, but I don't know if that will ever happen. I'm so happy to hear of your great battle being won and you are now going to WDW to celebrate with your family. Seriously cool! :thumbsup2

Have a magical and easy time of planning, you deserve it. :goodvibes

Big congrats to you! My mom didn't win her battle with cancer....it makes me sad she was never able to go to Disney. But it makes me so happy that you survived the battle and are celebrating in the happiest place on Earth :)

We were able to get all our dining reservations done same night we booked vacation ( computers and the internet are useful sometimes). only change so far is United combined flights so we leave half hour later, but they also have us returning half hour later.

Congrats and what an awesome milestone (both reservations made and treatments finishing)! Hope you have fun!

Congratulations on the finishing the treatments!!!

We are also celebrating my mom's VICTORY

Congrats on finishing your treatment!! What a wonderful way to celebrate! Enjoy your trip!:)

Yay! Congrats! I took my mother after she finished her chemo treatments. She had a blast! Enjoy! You truly deserve it! :cool1:

Congratulations! I know the feeling of joy after that last treatment and side effects wear off. I too just finished treatment last Thursday and planned a trip to celebrate with the DH. Have a great time!

Congratulations there is nothing like celebrating being done chemo at Disney take it from me. I finished chemo last July 2011 and went to the World for Christmas and it was beautiful so so glad I went even though I had some troubles with neuropathy in my feet, etc. I had the best time ever and the weather was perfect. Now unfortunately I may have to go back on treatments but it's not going to stop me, I am planning to go this October for the F&WF with a friend and can't wait. I love Disney and am so happy there it's a logical place to get away from the doom and gloom. Best of luck to you in your recovery and go celebrate!!

That is awesome news on both counts. I too, am a cancer survivor, 2 years and counting...can't wait to get back to the World, planning next years trip. Congratulations. :)

I wish all of you who are affected by cancer either personally or a loved one all the best. At my last treatment, the people on either side of me were also going through a second occurrence of cancer treatment. It is astounding to realize how frequently this occurs.
