Hi Everyone! Just booked trip number seven for June! Im sooooooo excited:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc .

I have some questions I just know you will be able to answer!

1. Is it true the Tapestry of Nations parade at Epcot has finished...if so, is there another parade instead, or just illuminations??

2. Has Church St Station closed?

3. Our day to leave is July 4th. I usual spend the last day in the mall..am I right to assume all the shops will be closed?? If so, what will be open, and do you have any reccomendations for things I could do for a few hours (til around 3pm).

4. Has anyone done the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot...any good? How does it compare with CRT (in case I cant get a PS for CRT this year).

5. My little girl loves Chef Mickeys, but I thought we might try another character breakfast this time (as well as CRT if I am REALLY REALLY REALLY lucky!!). What can you reccomend? She is 3 and my little boy is only 9 months, so nothing too fancy or scary!!

6. Is Dinner at the Crystal Palace better than lunch, or much the same? What characters are there?

7. How do I get one of those cool "countdowns" to track number of days till DISNEY WORLD!!

Thanks in advance!
Allie.

:D

I can only answer 7 which is go to the Tech Support forum and instructions are there.

Happy planning :)

Allie,

ToN has been replaced with Tapestry of Dreams which is very similar.

Yes, apparently Church Street Station has all but closed, although I think there was some talk about re-development. Does Simon Veness mention anything at all in his 'Brit's Guide Update' thread?

Regarding Character Breakfasts, we've done Cape May Cafe (Goofy and Chip 'n' Dale with Minnie greeting at the door) and Crystal Palace (Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet). I preferred CP, but that could have been because it was dd's 11th birthday and they made a real fuss of her.

Can I suggest starting a new thread for each of your questions? You'll probably get a better response that way.

We were there a few weeks ago and dined at 4.30pm. What fun - Pooh, Tigger & Piglet all spent time at our table and the kids enjoyed the parade around the restaurant - following right behind Pooh. My kids are 6 & 4.

Sorry guys, i'm afraid the last Tapestry of Dreams parade was a couple of weeks ago. Nothing has taken it's place at Epcot yet either.

Still great daytime parades at all the other parks to look forward to though!

Paul

1) Yes - it's true it's finished, (Feb 28th I think was the last day) and nothing has replaced it yet.

2) Last I heard it was shut, but I'm not really up on that. Simon will know.

3) Dunno about the normal shops, but I'm sure Downtown Disney shops will still be open! Also, you could do something like Crazy Golf (Fantasia Gardens or Winter Wonderland), or maybe resort hopping - grab a nice lunch somewhere :)

4) CRT is definately better than the PSB in my opinion. However, if you can't get Cindy's, it's a worthy alternative - though the food was fine when I went (if a little dull) I've heard a few people complain about cold food - but hey...who goes to these things for the food?

5) I've never done the breakfast at Cape May, but I've heard really good things about it. I've done the buffet dinner (without characters) and it's excellent - my favorite buffet in all WDW!

6) Only done dinner, so can't compare

7) Here's the thread on the Tech Board to get your Countdown timer

Hope that helps :)

RE : Character Breakfasts -- Havn't done it myself, but have you thought about "Donald's Breakfastosouras" at AK ??

It should be okay for you, seeing as though you have little ones.

Don't forget to check out Deb's menu guides for WDW Dining, so that you can see in advance what Cindy's, Crystal palace, etc offer.
