Taking my kids back to WDW has felt like a pipe dream for the last 4.5 years or so. Let me give you a little background as to why this is a dream come true...
We last went in September of 2009 with my Mom, sister, niece, DD (then almost 3)(now 7) and DS (turned 1 a week before our trip)(now 5) and my ex husband.
Since then there was a NASTY divorce and custody battle, and then new blooming of love
...
I met my fiance at the end of 2011, he taught me how to better manage my finances, and showed me the way to claw my way out of debt. I am now very close to debt free with the exception of my car payment! But the best thing? He adores my kids and they adore him.
He's an accountant so vacations always have to come after the end of tax season (just another reason to hate the IRS! No Value season for us!). When we started talking about taking a vacation he wanted to go spend a week at the beach. Now don't get me wrong, I love the beach but I am a daytrip kinda girl for that, I'm fair skinned and can get burnt by a florescent light bulb
(Ok that might be a bit of an exaggeration) So a week straight at the beach with 2 kids does not sound relaxing to me.
We started pricing cruises...we realized that they were going to cost about half what our wedding this October is gonna cost!!
(I really wanted to get a massage onboard!) Then DF said, well how about a couple of days at disney? I could have screamed!
So as of yesterday, we are booked through a lovely member here for DVC for a 1BR at OKW from June 22-26th! And a bonus, he wants to celebrate our engagement while we are there...so he consented to getting one of the dining plans(I only have eaten at Crystal Palace in my last trip, and no where when I was a kid)...he has no idea what I have planned to celebrate his birthday on the 23rd!
I am so wickedly excited about this!!! Off to plan, daydream and maybe do a little work since that's what my boss is paying me for
Look forward to doing some more cruisin around the Dis!
Tina
