Just booked our first trip

We will be staying@ FW campground in our pop-up for 7 nights in October. Will be arriving on the 8th and leaving on the 15th. It will be me, My DH, My DS (8), My grandson (8) & My granddaughter(6). We have 4 day tickets and will be doing MK for 3 days and AK for 1. 2 days split just hanging out in the Campground. We are camping to save money but since my son plays travel baseball we have no time to camp this spring or summer and they looked forward to it. We are driving from KY and will arrive late Saturday afternoon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait!

Welcome to DIS. It sounds like you are going to have a fabulous vacation. We've never stayed at FW but we love visiting the campground during our vacation.

I camped there for ten days once during Christmas and New Years. It was a blast. We were with another family with children your age and they too had an incredible time. There is plenty to do for sure. Be sure to take the ferry to MK and ride the monorails (things that entertain which do not cost anything). If you have a chance and can swing it, go to the ESPN Zone on the Boardwalk. Your baseball player would like it. Disney Springs costs nothing. Spend time walking through the shops and restaurants that is offered. There are things for kids your age ground that would interest them. There is a whole lot more, just keep checking in and read others trip reports. You can get a lot of information that way as well. Enjoy and have fun. Of Course!!

First of all, go make your dining reservations EXACTLY 180 days in advance, if you want to eat at Be Our Guest. Or Cinderella's Royal Table.

Also, make your FastPasses EXACTLY 60 days in advance!

So excited for you! The first visit is special! I just got back from a trip in Feb and will be going back in Oct. I second the above - book those dinner reservations 180 days in advance and the Fastpass+ at 60 days. Having good Fastpasses made our trip sooooo much easier! Have a wonderful time!!!
