Hey everyone, I'm so excited because I just booked a quick Father/Son trip at the end of October/early November for my Dad and I 
My family has had a very, very tough 2009. Dad's dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's then stage IV lung cancer. We lost him about 2 weeks ago. Dad has spent the last 6 months tending to his dad, helping my grandmother out every day with all of his needs. It has been understandably tough on him, and the fact that my grandfather is no longer hurting is a great relief to him.
I found out recently that I have a big meeting at the Gaylord Palms at the end of October, and, well, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to try to work in some Disney time. I thought about hitting the parks all by my lonesome, but then thought it would be really special and a heck of a lot of fun to have some time with my Dad. He's a certified Mouse nut too, so I come by it honestly
So we'll be staying at Pop Century October 30 - November 3. I had no idea the free dining offer was still going on so that's a big bonus and an unexpected surprise! We'll definitely be hitting the Biergarten AT LEAST once though, just for good measure
Just wanted to share with everyone. I'm really looking forward to spending some time relaxing with Dad. He needs it. I need it. I can't think of a better place to share than Disney World.
