OK, just booked a GV at OKW for my 40th :cool1: we're doing a 3 night Dream cruise and then we have family members meeting up w/ us at OKW so we booked the GV for 4 nights!:cool1:

Only stayed at OKW once, in a studio so I hardly can't compare! I've never stayed in a GV so I'd love to hear from anyone who's stayed in the GV there!

Love, love, love the GV at OKW!! :thumbsup2 It is massive! We stayed there one year and a little friend of my daughter was also in WDW, but staying at a value. We offered to take her back with us for an afternoon at the pool so her Mom could take care of something and when her Mom came to meet up with us she said, "OMG you call this a hotel room?!? Guess I shouldn't have worried about her crowding you guys!" :lmao: We try to stay there whenever we plan a big group gathering. Love the resort and the pool. :woohoo: Guess you can tell we really love it! :rotfl: Have a fantastic time!! :yay:

The master suite is on the first floor of the villas and there is also a bathroom in the hallway for anyone staying in the living room. There are two bedrooms upstairs. One has 2 double beds and one has 2 queen beds. They each have their own bathroom. The laundry room is big enough to put an air bed in there if someone needs even more room. There is a dining table that sits 8 and a table in the living room that will sit another 4 plus one on the balcony if you are planning a big meal in the villa. I think all but one GV starts on the second floor of the building in the regular buildings. There are two buildings with elevators but it is still stairs to the 2 bedrooms upstairs if this is an issue with any of your family. We have stayed in GVs twice, once with 8 and once with 5 (family cancelled at point that is was two late to get a different sized villa Christmas week) and we had a wonderful time. Hope you have a great trip.

LOVE IT!!!

HUGE!!!!!

Balcony is awesome, Master is huge, love the 4th bathroom downstairs, love the separate dining room.

Ask for building 63, the view is dreamy!!!:thumbsup2

Check my May 2009 trip report, link below for some real life photos. It was fabulous. :thumbsup2 I would stay there again in a hearbeat!

We continue to own and add on at OKW for the GVs. We often stay in a GV because of the size of our party. We usually are a big group. We just stayed in a GV in building 25. Great view of the golf course. We absolutely love the GVs at OKW. We think it's the best DVC accommadation.

Here's a coded map if you want to see where the GVs are located. They are coded in yellow.

They are great, the only negative is no balconies on the upper floor

Thanks for posting the locations of the GV's.
What are the buildings in red?? Also do you possibly know what buildings with the GV would have the 1 and 2 bedroom units also?
We have a 1,2 and a GV booked for last week in Sept, cannot wait, but are hoping to have all in one building..
To original topic..we LOVE the GV's it has sooo much space, you wont want to leave...they are beautiful!!

Thanks Bookwormde
Didnt think about Grand Gatherings, wonder if Dd's wedding planner could help, will have to see if they can make sure, MS keeps giving me same routine, we will try, but no guraentees, with Free Dining going on and F&W on the heels of the wedding I dont want the guests who are traveling hundreds of miles for thier first visit to WDW to have to go across the resort to enjoy coffee, drinks or just visiting. MS doesnt realize all the planning that has taken place, let alone the cost, asking for one simple request is like pulling teeth sometimes with them.

The grand villas at OKW are the best value in DVC ! They are very roomy and just like home !! I am sure you will be very pleased.

Just booked 4 days for next summer in a OKW HH GV.

We LOVE the OKW GVs!!! We will be staying in one again in January with a total of 6 people, but we have stayed in one with as many as 11.

They are VERY spacious, and the master bedroom is several feet larger in one dimension than the 2 bedroom villas at OKW. Also, the master bath is a different layout with two pedistal sinks instead of one. Frankly, I think I like the bathroom layout of the 2 bedroom villas a bit better, but the GV one is very nice too.

The little hall bathroom on the first floor for any guests that might be using the living room is one of the cutest at OKW. It has interesting tile in it, and it is a 3/4 bath with a shower. I also LOVE the wicker table and chair set in the living room. There is a dining room as well that seats 8, but with that living room set, you can easily seat 12 for meals.

The only negative about the OKW GV is the kitchen. Somebody decided to put the sink jammed up against the corner at right angles to the stove, and by the time you put the island in there, it is NOT the most convenient kitchen to work in. You can't have someone standing at the sink and someone standing at the stove at the same time very easily. LOVE the location of the laundry room though. It's off the kitchen instead of the hallway, so it's easily used for storing things like bottled water and suitcases etc.
