I know some people were asking about getting the AAA discount before. I just called today (11-26-07 :cool1: ) and booked a room only, water view at the CSR for 7 nights (July 28 - Aug 4, 2008). Standard price was $1551 but it went down $181 to $1370 with the 15% AAA discount. I spoke with Damien at 10am central time today (Monday). There was no wait time on the phone at all, he picked right up. He was very friendly, asking me how cold it was in the Chicago area today. He welcomed us back for our 6th trip and thanked us for our business. :yay:

I figured out all the money angles (:thumbsup2 ) and our best deal is the AAA 15% discount on room only and then buying our Hopper passes online at www.floridaorlandotickets.net ....

We loved the Dining Plan in 2006, but I figured out the costs at the same restaurants (I checked the notes from our last trip and then viewed the current menus online) and without the appetizer and the tip, the new '08 plan would not be a value for us. :sad2:

If we could have gone just exactly one week later (but we can't due to my DW's work schedule), we would have saved another $221 because it would have been both a cheaper "season" and the AAA discount goes up to 20% then! :sad2: Darn! :sad2: Oh well, gotta go when ya gotta go!:cheer2:

I think I better get our tickets in case the price goes up after the first of the year. The website f.o.t. seems to have the best deal on tickets.

Then I gotta book Disney's Vero Beach Resort because we drive there after WDW!pirate:

After five driving trips to Orlando in '02, '03, '04, '05 and '06, we really missed it this year ('07) because DW was getting her Master's Degree.

But we're going back with a vengeance in '08!!!:woohoo:

This will be our first repeat stay at a WDW resort and we chose the Coronado Springs Resort! We sat down and all three of us decided we liked it the best! :grouphug:

By the way, we picked up our Christmas tree yesterday and decorated our home, so now we're in the spirit of the holidays and Disney World!:santa:

Can there be such a thing as too much Mickey?

Too much Mickey? NEVER! :thumbsup2 I love your wreath!! :santa:

Good for you and I'd also love to try the CS resort.

We're going in October and I'm hoping for a great deal on a moderate resort. Otherwise it's back to Pop Century. Depending on $$$$!?

Just booked Disney's Vero Beach Resort for an Inn - Ocean View room for the three nights after our stay at the CSR!:yay:

Birnbaum 2008 code of "BUX" got us 20% off!:cloud9:
