Could not get the Poly which I love! Beach Club standard room available so I booked it. What area should I request a room? Please let me know the good and bad about the resort. Is there a close place to eat near the pool and to refill mugs? Will I be losing my kids at the pool because it is so big! Will it be warm water in March? Recommendation for getting to the MK park early in the am. and relax by the pool in the afternoon. I just love the Poly...it will be tough to change resorts...please sell me on it. Thanks

We just love this resort! The pool is awesome!

There's Hurricane Hannah's at the pool, which serves food and drinks. Also the Beach Club marketplace is in the lobby...not THAT far from the pool...and they have sandwiches, etc. Beaches and Cream is adjacent to the pool for ice cream, soda, etc., as well as bugers and other sandwiches for lunch/dinner if you want to sit down and dine.

The bus service to MK is not bad...you can also return by from there by monorail to Epcot, and then walk through Epcot to the International Gateway.

Of course, the biggest advantage at the Beach Club is the access to Epcot, MGM, and the Boardwalk. You can stroll right into Epcot in the evenings for dinner, snacks and Illuminations. There are street entertainers and snack kiosks out on the Boardwalk nightly. While access to MK is not as easy as from the Poly, access to Epcot and the studios is phenomenal.:thumbsup2

There are pool games and recreation daily. In the lobby last summer, Lilo and Stitch showed up to play games with kids--it was real cute to see stich playing on the floor doing puzzles with the children. There was a table set up in the lobby and CM's were making towel animals and giving them to the children. chidren were encouraged to learn how to make them. On the beach, movies were shown nightly on a huge screen, after a sing-along and marshmallow roast. there is a never-ending list of things to do over there, plenty for adults and kids. Great location, nice restaurants, and of course, Beaches and Cream.

Great answers above. Another way to get info about any resort is by going to the sticky's at the top of the resort board and looking at each resorts information threads. They have an awesome amount of information that was carefully put together by people who love each resort.

Congratulations!!! You have picked the ultimate resort! Here's a list of great things to do/see on your stay at BC.

When you arrive, say hi to Art. He is awesome and has the best personality to set the happy tone at the resort.

The rooms are light colored and airy. They remind you of being at the beach. I love the lamp on the desk in the rooms.

Eat breakfast at Cape May Cafe character breakfast. We ate there two days in a row because DD16 loved it!!! Great food and not so crowded that the characters are in a rush. They have plenty of time to play with you, especially Goofy! Try the gelato from the Marketplace, where you can refill your mugs. Not sure what it really is, but it is awesome!!!! Beaches and Cream and Hurricane Hannahs are right at the pool and have great eats. The Yacht Club Galley (now has a different name, but still the same great place) is great for dinner.

Go to the BW in the evenings to hang out watching the street activities and even watch the Epcot fireworks.

SAB is great! The water will be heated if needed. It is a large pool and has a great slide. There are places you can sit and see most of the area where your children will be.

Location at BC depends on what you want to be close to. I requested close to Epcot so that DS17, DD16, and DD's BFF could have easy access if they wanted to go without me. It ended up that DS and I went over there most days and picked us up some lunch from the different countries while the girls went to Hurricane Hannahs for their lunch (they have no food adventure!!) I would dedide what you want to be close to and just request the area. It worked great for us. It took us only about 2 minutes to be insde Epcot from our room!!!

Here's the bad part.... if you need something from your car, have your walking shoes on. There, that's the only bad part I know of. I would say that the good outweighs the bad a lot!!!

Enjoy your trip!!!!

Good tips all -

The BC rooms on the 3rd and 4th level have either very nominal balconies or ones that are bigger (though still small) and you can sit out on them. If you want a balcony you can sit on, be sure to request ahead of time. The "unoffical guide" has the protocol on how to do this, I think it is via fax 3 days before arrival but I'm not sure. If you don't ask, you probably won't get one, and the really small ones don't have room for any furniture or sitting.

I used the balcony all the time. As the regular rooms are just the single room, the balcony was the place to be when I wanted to read while the rest of the family slept. There was a table, chair and light out there, and our location was close enough to hear the Beatles tribute band and see the epcot ball.

Also, be prepared to walk the labyrinth - our room required quite a mix of turns, elevators, etc. But after 10 days we got lost less often :)
