Just booked a very last minute trip!!!!

I'm so excited! We booked today a spur of the moment Disney get away for this weekend! My DH and I were talking Sunday night about how we were missing Disney and October seemed really far away (our next week long trip). DH casually asked how many points we had left this year, and the wheels started turning. Before I knew it we were calling MS Monday morning booking a studio Fri - Mon! It's going to be an adults only trip thanks to my mom watching the kids. I'm soooo excited! The last time we were there I was 7 1/2 months pregnant with our son, so I can't wait to ride a few thrill rides! So after booking a room and airfare we jumped on the web and tried out online dining reservations for the first time. We got Calf Grill for Sat night and Flying Fish for Sun night. Again so excited! I think because this is all so last minute it adds to the fun! I love DVC!!!!

I can just hear your excitement. How much fun will that be?? I can't wait to be able to do that someday. I love planning our annual trip, but it would be really fun to just go on the spur of the moment. Have a great time!

That's funny, I was just wondering this morning how easy it is to be spontaneous with DVC! My fiance is looking at joining the military which makes it a bit hard to plan our trips our for years the way I always do - I will need to learn to be much more flexible and spur of the moment...the good part is we ar enot too picky about where we stay as long as we're at Disney!

This is our first time being spontaneous with our DVC and it's working out great! Now ofcourse it's only 3 nights, a week might be harder. But we obviously weren't picky with accomadations at this last minute. And I agree as long as you're at Disney who care where you are! They actually had several things for me to choose from which surprised me. So I would say as long as your not too picky you can be spontaneous!

I can only dream of the short term, short notice trip idea at this point. But maybe someday...so far with airfare from Duluth being so expensive we have to do the 3 hr drive down to the Twin Cities to get a decent flight so it's just too much of a pain BUT with Allegiant now doing direct flights there may be some hope for the future. I'm not sure what we will be doing but I can tell you we WILL NOT be riding Small world 5 times, Figment 4 times, and Pooh 3 times! These are actual numbers from our last trip! I'm also really looking forward to looking through the shops without little ones!

Thanks! We are staying at SSR. We asked for a studio any where on property and they had OKW and SSR. They also had a 1 bedroom at BWV.

I would LOVE to do that, but it's almost impossible to find good last minute airfare from Minnesota, and it's too far to drive.
