I just booked our first cruise for August of 2019 on Mariner of the Seas. We are very excited. I am a complete newbie on this cruise thing and I am trying to research all that I can to make this a successful trip. Are you allowed to bring on water, or soda? Also I will be following the posts about Coco Cay. I would love any tricks or tips that you think are essential to make this a great first cruise.

thank you

Sailed recently on Celebrity via Silhoutte and although the embark porters looked at my cruise labeled case (24 pack) of water, they fully obliged. It arrived at our stateroom with no issues. Bring sunscreen and any medicines/treatments onboard. If you purchase these on the ship, you will pay a major premium.

Congrads on your 1st cruise; I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

We're going this August on Mariner. Can't wait. Can report back.

As far as I know, you're not supposed to being water or soda but can purchase (alone or package). But you can bring 2 bottles of wine per stateroom.

I've been reading the unoffical Royal Caribbean Blog and MOST people have had no issues bringing water and soda onboard, even though it says it is against policy. We were going to, but my dad surprised my husband with the Refreshment Package for his birthday (my husband is a coffee addict), so he will have all the soda he needs.
