Let's say we finish dinner at Flying Fish. We walk around a bit and then want to sit and have a drink ...ie. flight of beer at Big River Grille. How likely (or even welcome) would that be to grab a table outside.. especially during FD? Would they even want us sitting there having just drinks rather than ordering food?!

Just sit at the bar at the Flying Fish after dinner and have a Blood Orange Margarita. It's one of the best drinks on property!

BTW, LOVE LOVE LOVE Flying Fish. It's my favorite "dinner" place to eat at Disney.

I should have mentioned our 3 y.o DD will be with us ;) But, I will definitely order that marg with dinner.. sounds delicious!! :lovestruc

If they have the space, I'm sure they'd be happy to take you just for drinks. We've done it before. I would prepare to be flexible in where you sit, though. It may be easier to get a table indoors or seats at the bar than it is outside, depending on the time of day and the weather.

Thanks Melissa, that is good to know. We are going during FD so I don't know how much free space there will be and I hate to take up a table for drinks only. That said, I guess we can just guage that when we are there and if it's too busy, head back to the hotel for a swim and a beverage by the pool. :goodvibes

You may also be able to get a table at ESPN Club for just a couple of drinks. Also, you could always bring the little one to the Sandcastle Club at BC and they head to Jellyroll's on the Boardwalk for a few hours of drinking and singing.

We've gone during FD twice at the same time of year you're going (and again this year!). I feel like none of the restaurants were ever really so crowded that they would be irritated with you just buying drinks. You are paying customers after all! :)

I don't know how many of the kids clubs take 3 year olds. For some of them I think the minimum age is 4.

If we feel a bit guilty only ordering drinks, we order an appetizer to share. I don't think we're fooling anybody. They know why we're there! ;)
