hey there,

just got back today from a 2 week stay at all star movies, had a great time even though it rained pretty much everyday for a couple of hours! rode TOT and SM for the first time and loved both. some other points:

-no lines for most rides or attraction (10mins@most)
-boiling hot weather (when it wasn't raining)
-house of blues kicks butt!!

all in all a good time was had by all!

if anyone has any Qs I'd be happy to try and answer them

Do you know if the lines in Fantasyland, and Buzz were that short? It seems to me they are always longer than any of the others! Thanks a bunch!

I will be going to All-Star Movie in October for my second stay. We love staying there! I've actually found their transportation to be better than some of the more expensive resorts! The theming of the hotel is incredible. Make sure to visit the Toy Story section! We stayed in the Fantasia 2000 buildings close to the food court and pool. We never waited more than 10 mintues for a bus...the food court was decent and reasonably priced.

we stayed in the mighty ducks section of the hotel right beside the scond 'duck pond' pool, this pool was always a lot quieter that the main pool and, although it is smaller' we tended to prefer the more relaxed atmosphere in that pool.

the food court is good, however it gets very busy between 9-11am and 6-8pm, we had to wait up to 20 mins for a table to free up on some occassions.

we didn't do any character meals, but if by 'sit down meals' you mean a table service resturant then we did do that. we went to the house of blues on a thursday night, the meals were good and not expensive (although more expensive than your average fast food outlet). we also saw a band play there and since they didn't come on until 11pm it was only half full with plenty of seats available.

the lines for buzz were non existent 9 out of the 10 times we rode there was no line at all, we just walked straight on. 1 out of the 10 there was a 5 minute wait. the only line in fantasy land that was long was the one for peter pan's flight which we bypassed anyway.
