Just got back yesterday from a wonderful week in my favorite place.
A few things.
1) I cannot express enough how much I love the WL!!!! I did see some manager types walking around with blueprints around the pool area. Anyone know more?
2) Despite my love of WL, the Pool was PACKED labor day weekend. It was ridiculous. We love to come back for an afternoon swim, and DH and I take turns at the pool as the other stays in the room with DS while he naps. But literally, not only were there no spots free to sit, there was no room in the pool either. I went to the villas pool and was lucky to snag a spot, but it was packed as well. People didn't leave, I actually saw a family with a ham, so they were making a day of it. My concern here, is Disney is pushing people to really stay in there resorts... and if more people stay onsite- I am afraid my chances of being able to hang poolside will be limited. But perhaps I am overreacting.
3) Crowds were wonderfully low
4) The people were phenomenal. We were worried about taking our son who is 17 months. Some people were so kind to us. Particularly a family at the children's pool who shared toys and another family at dinner at Teppan Edo one night.
5) We had a glitch with our DDP the one day at Pecos Bills. Not sure what happened, but the associate and manager said our cards were deactivated and we couldn't make any purchase. Three managers later, they were ready to call WL, and the one was able to look it up to confirm the CS remaining. Unfortunately, they then messed up another one of our last CS items, which we noted buying our last breakfast at the resort, but the manager took care of it. Not sure if that happened to anyone else before.
6) Lesson learned with a small toddler..... RENT A CAR!!!
7) At MK on Friday, they were filming something. The area to the left of the castle near liberty square was blocked off first thing in the morning. Anybody have an idea on what?
It was a great trip. I am sad to be back. any questions let me know!
