Arrived back yesterday after 2 great weeks and so a few comments...

OKW
Loved this resort it is really pretty and relaxing. The bus service to the parks and getting around the resort was excellent and we didn't have to stand on the bus once there were always seats. We had a refurbished villa in block 30 which was really nice but there is definately a noise issue when late at night (talking 1 am and later) when guests upstairs are moving furniture or at least that is what it sounded like on the new wooden floors is really bad.

Weather
The weather was really hot only a couple of days when we had rain, we have decided that September is not for us as it made everything twice as hard with the heat and humidity. If we go again I would try and go either early or later in the year when it's not so hot.

Parks
What can I say except that everything was a walk on except for Toy Story Mania. We did use FP's for Soarin but they were normally for the next 1/2 hour. A dream time to go for the rides, longest times were normally 20 mins. Fantasyland is a mess though.

Dining Plan
This worked for us this time being able to book our reservations online meant I was able to get times to suit rather than trying to do it on the phone. Best places were Le Cellier, CP, CRT, Captains Grille and Le Chefs. Probably the worst was 50's Prime Time the place was packed and rushed didn't even have the cutlery when the meal arrived. We came back with 2 table service credits and 10 Quick Service meals.

We also did the Wishes Dessert Party and really enjoyed this and MNSSHP which was fun.

Thanks for taking the time to fill us in - i'm looking forward to okw for the first time next month.

Glad you had a good time - I don't like the idea of noisy people upstairs on the wooden floor though :scared1: We had some stomping around above us last time, and that was with carpet...:sad2:

Welcome home.
Don't like the sound of wooden floors, are they all going wooden, incl studios?

August/Sept temps are not for eveyone but we love it, hotter the better, I do like Oct, hot thru the day then a little cooler in the evening(sometimes)

50's PT was one of our faves, Le Cellier although service was spot on the food had changed slightly, preferred last year, won't be going back. Capt's Grille was great, will be back there. We used every credit, just right amount for us over 21 nights.

Welcome home

Glad you had a good time on the whole.
I guess every holiday will have some elements to it that we wish would be better, but it's how we deal with them and insist that they don't ruin the whole trip that matters. And it sounds like you dealt with the issues really well and have given some great feedback to others who may be going soon :goodvibes

Not sure about the studios but I presume they will all be done the same. It does look nice and all in all we were really pleased with the villa it was very spacious and the jacuzzi spa bath was great.

We probably would have used all our credits if it hadn't been so hot, as I didn't always feel like eating a big meal plus we did a couple of lunchtime meals at Tusker House & LTT and we both felt full for the rest of the day. I was glad though that we upgraded to the full dining plan from the quick service plan as the counter service at OKW is very limited.

Thanks for the great review! Glad to hear another positive review of MNSSHP and reports of low crowds:thumbsup2

I hope the post-Disney blues don't hit you too hard:)

Glad you had fun!

Shame about 50s PT, we really enjoyed it. We also felt very full after LTT! The food is good there but it's quite heavy.

Thanks for the feedback of OKW - we are looking to go in 12 months time (almost). We usually request a high floor - wonder if this would make the noise from the wooden floors easier to bear?

I would have thought it would be better and even though we were on the ground floor I was mindful of the noise late at night so we didnt disturb the people on the floor above, the problem is that with the wooden floor there is nothing to keep the sound down. I must confess that I did phone the front desk to complain ( I do feel quilty about it but it was nearly 1.30 in the morning) as it was really bad and everytime we dropped off to sleep it would start again I must admit I thought someone was skateboarding across the floor but afterwards I did think that maybe they were moving the chair and settee to make beds.:confused3

Don't let that put you off though we only had one bad night the rest of the time it was fine and OKW is a lovely relaxing resort to stay in with really friendly CM's who can't do enough for you.
