and had an awesome time. Wait times were way less than last year. On 2 occassion, we had the bus to ourselves - from MK to POFQ and once we had the POFQ boat all to ourselves.

Any questions that I can answer........ask away.

Oh and DH is seriously thinking of DVC for us. Any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated. I did try and read up on the DVC Canadian thread, but thought I'll ask here as well.

Did you do a Fantasmic package? If so how did that work?

Glad you had a great time! I totally agree about the wait times. I remember them being longer last year at the exact same time. We never had to stand on the bus this time which is a bonus! Oh and I only waited 5 MINUTES for SOARIN!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana: Did you enjoy the free food???

No we did not. In fact, we did not even stay to watch Fantasmic, though I really enjoyed it last year. We did watch Wishes and Illuminations though.

Hey......I remember we both went at the same time last year (we were in Squirrels photopass group). Splash was like 5 mins too. Peter Pan and TSM is another question - definitely need Fast Pass for that. We made good use of the FP too.

Actually, we did not do free dining this year as we used the 40% off code. Though we were quite tired of the same food, the portions were so big, that we ended up sharing sometimes. Kids of course, had no problems with chicken nuggets and fries.

We purchased SSR DVC directly from Disney and really enjoy it. It is nice to know that we have vacations 'reserved' for the forseeable future. In fact we are going in January with a friend and her kids and are able to treat her (she's gone through a rough patch the last little while) to the accomodations. I also like being able to treat my sisters' and their families in the future. We find the ability to Bank and Borrow very flexible and while we only have a 150 pt contract it has been enough for us. I think we bought in 2008 and have made about 5 trips since - ranging from studio to 1 bdrm. We are staying at AKL Kidani this time in a 2 bdrm so I am excited! We have stayed at many resorts - although DS strangely really has a love on  for SSR....he is actually mad we are staying at AKL and not SSR (although when he sees AKL I am thinking he may change his mind!). The annual dues are a bit of a pain the butt (bieng about $500-$600 US) but I figure it is worth it in the long run. We have a USD account and USD mastercard that I use to try and put money away throughout the year to pay for dues and trips and you can pay dues online using the MC and avoid exchange rates etc. I personally would recommend it, and am thinking that given the US economy you may be able to scoop some good deals via re-sale right now....worth looking into for sure. And our dollar is really good right now which really helps. I think it was around 84 cents when we bought - so you would definately save some there. :thumbsup2

Thanks DutchsMommy, that was very helpful. We did meet with a 'guide' and he needed our SIN numbers which we did not have while on vacation. I did read on this board not to give out numbers, so was awry of that. This is directly through Disney so not sure if I am overly worried about nothing.

I should look into a US credit card though I like collecting Air Miles on my Amex and not pay an annual fee as well. DH is hell bent on this, I am still on the fence as it is a big committment, IMHO. Though my 6 year old loved the suites and sooooooooo wants one, LOL!!!

Any other input is greatly appreciated as well.
