We went, we saw, we rode, we ate and it was over all too soon. We had one day to spend last week so we chose Tuesday to drive up fro San Diego. It was busier than I expected, having heard of the unseasonably low crowds this summer. We didn't get to ride the Matterhorn, the lines were 60-90 minutes all day. We've been 4 times now and I don't think we'll ever get on that darn ride!

We did ride most of our favorites:

Indy
Space Mountain
Splash Mountain
BTMRR
Pirates
TSM
Haunted Mansion
Buzz Lightyear

We used two fast passes, the rest were waits of 30 minutes or less.

We also ate at Cafe Orleans for the first time. Super Yum! The pomme frites were a delightful surprise. The Monte cristo was huge. I split it with my hubby and we didn't finish it. DS like the grilled chicken kids meal. We ordered the beignets and ate them all but I have to say I wasn't impressed. They were cold in the middle and hard. But, you know, it's not REALLY New Orleans so what are ya gonna do? All in all a great meal and we'll definitely go back.

I wish we had more than one day. But, we rode quite a bit, ate two great meals and saw both the Electrical parade and the fireworks show. Yes, I cried during the fireworks.

Can't wait to go back next year!

Sounds like a great time! Where else did you eat? I am looking forward to those pommes fritas in september when I go...I have never eaten there before!

Our other meal was in DCA at the Taste Pilots Grill. My son and hubby split the ribs plate and totally devoured them. I had a grilled chicken salad. I have to admit I wish I had ordered a burger. I've had them there before and they are delish!
