We love using the vouchers.... At RFC we were able to order off the adult menu for the kids as well. We had more than enough food for our 4 vouchers. We had 4 appetizers, 2 steak and shrimp, 1 Mojo Bones (Ribs), and 1 Surf and Turf and 2 volcanos. We used 4 vouchers 1 adult and 3 kids lunch vouchers.

We used the quick and casuals at counter services all over WDW. They were especially a good value while eating at counter services at Epcot around the World showcase. We also used them at Beaches and Cream and Pepper Market where you already know they are a great value. At pepper market we were able to get the dessert sampler platter for our desserts. Here we used 4 vouchers and were able to get an entree/side, drink, desset. We received 2 large dessert platters(12.95 each) for our 4 vouchers. Any other questions please ask... I just hit on the highlights... We had a great trip and always enjoy having our meals paid for ahead of time... :)

:wave2: I'm glad to hear you had a good time. I'd love to hear more about where you used your Q&C vouchers and what you were able to order. We will be going for the first time in May and I've purchased some from hotwire. I've read some conflicting posts on what some people could get and some couldn't. Just wondering what your experience was like. I'm mostly interested in the counter service restaurants in the parks since that's where we will be most of the time. TIA

WOW! You have the cutest family, MOM POPPINS. We have 3 girls and one son, and I don't remember my name most days, let alone what I ordered for dinner! I'm glad to hear of your experience at the RC...we've been allowed to order adult meals with kids vouchers once, but not on another occassion. And it seems the waiter always has to ask the manager what to do! We've used the Q&C vouchers at the Peppermarket Grill, but were never allowed to order the dessert sampler...maybe this is something new? I prefer using the Q&C vouchers here or at Epcot in the World Showcase. Beaches and Cream is a good value, but the menu is somewhat limited. My kids like the place for the desserts! We have a big trip planned in 3 months, and we're taking 3-4 extra kids(no, not kids...TEENAGERS!!), so I'm trying to decide how many vouchers to order. Your report has me thinking I should order a few more VKL vouchers and skip the character breakfast!

Thanks Mic! I just love having a big family. I would consider more lunch voucers for RFC. We actually went there 2 times and were encouraged both times to order off the adult menu. Both of our waiters had knowledge of the vouchers and did not have to ask a manager. We have had your same experience on our trip 2 years ago at RFC, but this time it was better. Have a great trip!!! :wave2:

zoeyandmakennasmom ~ We were able to order the usual burgers fries drink and dessert. We were able to get a large drink when we asked for it. At the world showcase in Epcot we were able to order at the counter services. Most of these establishments allowed us to order an additional side even when the entree came with one. :wave2:

thanks for the report, Mom Poppins :) I'm so glad you had a great trip! I am seriously thinking about ordering some VKL vouchers. Would 1 Adult and 2 kids be enough for a family of 5? I am thinking one of each might be enough....did you make a PS at the RFC or walk-in? Did it matter what time of day?

I got the vouchers one year and loved them! I would love to have a few more for our unexpected trip next month, but don't want the hassle of joining a club to get them...

Hi Madge ~ We were a family of 6(1infant) when we went 2 years ago and I debated the 2 vs. 3 vouchers like you. We went with the 2 vouchers and it was fine. We did have a PS and it was worth it. It gets very crowded at RFC at lunchtime. I thought the PS did not do us any good because we were put in a long line with everyone else, but they called our name and we got to go in before everyone else. I would try to make a PS if you can... :wave2:

I am looking at the menu right now, and I think you're right about 2 vouchers. If it looks like someone isn't going to have enough food, I can always order a kid's meal.

Can you still get the volcano with 2 vouchers?

Yes you can... we decided on 1 volcano and 2 desserts for our 4 vouchers... Are you staying on club level at the Dolphin this trip? They are currently renovated and club level has moved to the first floor until March 28th... :) :wave2:

yes, we have CL priv again this trip :) where is the lounge on the first floor? We are there from 3-26 through 4-1, so I guess we'll get to see the nely renovated lounge, too!

RFC = Rainforest cafe Volcano = dessert with brownies and ice cream :)

Madge ~ I cannot remember where the lounge is, I know when I read it I did not know where it was :) I did write it down so I will look for it for you :)

Glad you had a good time, nice looking family!!!!! we are planning on using vouchers on our Dec. trip also. disneykid:earsgirl:

Interested in knowing if you used the Q & C vouchers at Rain Forest Cafe or did the require you to use the more expensive VKL vouchers?

This voucher stuff is new and confusing and I'm trying to make a clear decision, based on the restaurants that my kids want to go to.

Thanks.
HOHJA - going this May

Vacation Kingdom Lunch vouchers are the only ones good at Rainforest Cafe.... These are the more expensive vouchers... :)

No, the Rainforest Cafe restaurant in Animal Kingdom (NOT Downtown Disney) requires the sitdown lunch vouchers, not the quick & casual. It is still a huge bargain considering the surf & turf alone is $40. Mostly the q & c are the types of eateries in the parks and a few in the resorts, not sit-down types. We usually pick up a few q & c and then the breakfast ones as I find them the easiest to use. With the lunch sit-down vouchers you have to order a lot of food with appetizers and desserts to get a good bargain and that is usually too much food for us in the middle of the day. We like breakfast and then early dinners (5ish).
