We just returned from our fantastic trip. We were in Disneyland Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday last week. Everything was great! On Thursday morning we were getting off Mulholland Madness and were greeted by a cast member handing out Dream Fast Passes!
We stayed at the Grand Californian which we found to be beautiful & very comfortable. It was very convenient to walk right outside into California park or walk a very short distance (5 minutes) to Disneyland. The fact that the parks are right across from each other made it easy to park hop, much easier in fact than at WDW where you have to take a bus, boat or monorail to reach another park. When we checked in, the registration clerk asked us if it was our first visit and when we said it was, she presented us with 1st visit buttons and a balloon bouquet.
Crowd levels were very reasonable, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday when we walked onto to most rides or waited a short 5-10 minutes. The longest wait was 25 minutes for Space Mountain. The crowds started picking up on Thursday, but by then we had Dream Fastpasses! It looked like it was getting much busier on Friday as we were checking out.
The Aladdin show in California is SPECTACULAR and should not be missed!
All in all, we had a great time. If you have any questions about the parks or Grand Californian, I would be glad to try to answer.

The spring break crowds did seem to be gone, although it did get busier at the parks toward the end of the week. I think that'a normal though for it to get busier near the weekend. I had made priority seating (adr) for the character breakfasts at Storyteller's Cafe, Plaxa Inn and PCH grill however none of the restaurants seemed to be filled when we were there. We were able to have dinner at Storyteller's without adr's and without waiting on Tuesday evening.
I wanted to add that Disboards were invaluable in planning our trip. Thank you to the moderators and all posters!

Sounds like a good trip, glad you got dreamed! We got our dream fp's by the snow white spot on the side on the castle, those fp's sure are cool :cool2:

So glad you had a magical time, thanks for sharing:)
And I agree, isn't the Grand....well, Grand?;)

sounds like a great trip!! wish we had been dreamed...just to say we did!! oh well!!! glad you had a great trip!!

Hey, maybe I saw you there ;) We got there late Sunday and were at the park Sunday night, Mon, Tue, Wed. The only frustration was we got into line TWICE for space mountain only to have it CLOSE while we were in line and a third time, as we approached it, it was emtpying again for the same reason .. finally road it Wed morning.

Congrats on your dream fast passes. I was disappointed that I didn't get to even SEE anybody get dreamed.

The cast members were saying "Yay, spring break is over". The CM even mentioned it when we saw the California Dreams (can't remember the name) --- the show movie presentation w/ Whoopie Goldberg.
