Hi! Used Fairy Godmothers for the second time - requested Helen and got her. She was fantastic as usual!!!!

I saw a lot of kids on toddler leashes and nobody was saying any rude comments or anything like that - so don't be afraid to use them!

No water in Donald's boat but I don't know about Ariel's Grotto. All of the fountains were back on and working, though..

If you have any questions for me, please ask.

Fairy godmothers question. How old are your children? What time did you use them? DH and I are thinking of using them this trip(august) not sure what we will do, but it sounds like fun to actually do something without children.

Any info will be very much appreciated.

Stacey--I got a lot of good info by doing a search on this site and typing in "Fairy Godmothers" People have really good things to say about them.

Hi Stacey,

The first time we used FGM, my ds was 2. This trip he was 4. The first time he was not potty trained, and she did a great job with him. This time he was.

We scheduled for Helen to be with him from 5pm until midnight. She showed up at 4:45 and we ended up getting back right around 11:45pm.

The cost is $12 flat travel fee plus $12 an hour after that for one child. I think there might be a minimal extra charge for additional children. So, yes, it cost about $100 for 7 hours, but it was vacation and we budgeted for it. :)

I called FG to find out about rates and I have three kids. I was told the $12 an h8ur rate and same flat travel rate for our family too. I read somewhere--not sure where-- that it is the same for up to three and then there is a small extra charge per child for the same family.

I think we will use them this trip. Do you recommend Helen or shold I nopt ask for anyone special?
Thanks again.

Stacey,

I have only used Helen. I highly recommend her. She is like at least 65 years old and very high sprited. Her daughter (probably around 40 -45??) came with her last time and Helen told me she is learning the "ropes" to be a FGM too. But I don't remember her name - Martha or Mary????

The Unofficial Guide says that there is a small additional fee for extra kids, but that may have changed. Here is the phone number. You call and tell the lady (who doesn't sound real friendly, but don't worry) that you want to reserve Helen if you can for the date you want at what ever resort you are staying. She will confirm for you and tell you to call them back when you check in to give your room number and then she will confirm the sitter that will be coming. Oh, just ask her the total price and she will tell you.

The number is (407) 969-9847 and toll free 877-611-4314

If you do get Helen, tell her that Roy and Angie Hawkins and son Nicolas said hello! :)

I just wrote down your name so I remember! I will say Hi for you :)

I am thinking about using fairy godmother for the first time. At the time of my trip my kids will be 9 1/2 and almost 3.

I would like to have her take them to eat.

We are staying at Caribbean Beach for 4 nights than Wilderness Lodge for 3 nights.

I am not picky on the day I use them, which resort will be better to have someone bring the kids to eat at the local foodcourt?

I have never been to either resort so I am not sure.

Hi Lisa, I have never been to FW, but I know that the CBR food court is pretty "user friendly." :) CBR is our favorite one so far.

I have never had my FGmother take my DS anywhere, but I hear that they will even escort your kids to a park if you will pay their admission. wow. That's brave. ha ha

You might want to go to the resort or even restaurant boards and post about wondering which food court would be best.

Have fun!
