I'll try to write a report later but I have to follow up with drs after my ER trip and school starts for2 dd's on Wed. 1 starts kindergarten and the other 2nd grade
I will say, though, that we have a few that we were definitely surprised by...
-Tangeriene cafe made DH and I incredibly sick within hours of eating. DH was recouperating the next 2 days. NEVER again!!! We ate there right around 11:30ish, too, so its not like the food was sitting around for a long time.
-ABC commisary was good.....don't be afraid!!
-We really liked the food at 1900 Park Fare, despite so many negative reviews. We didn't get great character interaction, except for the prince who came by 2 x for at least 4 or 5 minutes each time. Dh wants to definitely go back next year.
-We also all loved Hoop Dee Doo revue and plan to use 2 credits next year to go back. We had people in our party that ranged from 5 (our dd) to almost 70 (mil) and everyone loved it. Our oldest, who is 7 and autistic and freaks out at loud noises/singing, asked us several times if we could go back at least 3 times during this trip.
On top of that, Teppan Edo was/is a favorite, as is Garden Grill, Akershus, Tusker House, & Sci-fi. DH really enjoyed Kona with 1 dd and I did enjoy the food he brought back for me several hours later.
The only meal we didn't really enjoy was Crystal Palace but I think that was b/c we ended up checking in early, waiting 20 min past our seating time and having at least 10 families that had no ADRs seated ahead of us (with the same # in their party). We also had a horrid waiter that disappeared.
We had either REALLY good service or REALLY bad service. The service @ the group meals was wonderful and the chef @ Ohana was absolutely amazing with our entire group (we have 1 person with an allergy). He brought all of the kids special pins that are only handed out to the staff working @ the Polynesian. He came out at least 5 times, chatted with all of us, brought the pins out, and then brought out 1 more pin when we miscounted the kids (they were doing the coconut race).
Ok, so this is longer than I thought it would be but if you have any questions, feel free to ask...
Oh, I also tried a few new drinks this trip- the lapu lapu, the sangria @ Hoop Dee Doo, as well as the beer, the blue frozen margarita from the mexico pavilion (they charge $13 for it instead of $8 due to differences in the alcohol content) the yak attack, and something else from the bar outside tusker house. They were all ok, and worth trying once.....just not my cup of tea, or booze as it would be
