Cast: me, Stefanie Disney addict
Ali, Stefanie's Mom
ds 7
dl 21 months.
We had a great time and ate some really good food. We encountered rain almost every evening and didn't feel like leaving the Wilderness Lodge for other places, so we ate the the Whispering Canyon Cafe quite a bit (as you'll see in my reviews)
Day one, Sept 21.
Dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe'. Mom and I shared the pork chops. They gave us each one pork chop, half and ear of corn and mashed potato's. We both thought it was very good. The mashed potatos are very good. Both boys had chicken fingers. Standard kid food, they ate it all. Ds,7 had worms and Dirt for desert. Didn't care for it.
Sept 22
Breakfast at Roaring Forks. Not bad for fast food but not great. Mom had the Breakfast Pizza which was eggs bacon the cheese? on a pizza type crust. She said it was okay. I had the Breakfast Plate which consited of scrambled eggs (ick) two pieces of bacon (not bad) and hash browns (McDonald's quality). Both boys had French Toast sticks, which were very good and I wish I had gotten them.
Lunch: Animal Kingdom Pizzafari.
Mom got the Italian sandwich, huge and very very good. Ds, 7 got the kids meal pepperoni pizza..it was tiny. The pizza was maybe a little bigger than a hockey puck. Ds 21 months and I shared a cheese pizza. Not a bad lunch, the pizza was quite good. We also got breadsticks with Marinara sauce. Breadsticks were good, the sauce was not.
Dinner. Hoop Dee Do.
The show was fantastic. My baby loved the music and was dancing in his high chair. My 7 year old thought it was hysterical. The show is broken up throughout your meal so there is some down time when you can eat. The salad was okay, greens onions tomatos and viniagrette dressing. The rolls and butter were to die for@!!!!!!. Ribs, good but tough. Fried Chicken was very good (had three pieces...
. The baked beans were okay. The strawberry shortcake was good, but I was so full I could not eat but two bites. Mom had wine, I had beer kids had sprite. Good meal and I would go again.
Sept 23
Breakfast Roaring forks. Mom had breakfast plate. She liked it. I had the sausage with cheese sandwich, it was pretty good. Too big, I could only eat half. Kids had French Toast sticks again..good.
Lunch: Liberty Tree Tavern.
This was one of the best place's we went for lunch. The rolls and honey butter are very tasty. Mom had the Colony Salad, which was mixed greens with apples, chicken, cheddar cheese and pecans in a honey shallot vinagrette. She loved it. I had the Benedict Arnold Sandwich,,YUMMY. I'm still thinking about this sandwich. It was shaved virginia ham(not corned beef) and cole slaw on toasted molasses bread. YUM YUM YUM, can you tell I liked it? baby slept in his stroller and 7yr old had chiken fingers. Once again standard kid stuff.
Dinner: WCC
Mom had the Meatloaf which came with mashed potatos and veggies. I had the Gold Rush Nachos which was tortilla chips with chilli, cheese, sour cream and green onions. It was okay, I've had better. Kids had mac and cheese with corn. 7yr old got a chocolate milkshake. I thought it was good, but he wasn't too crazy about it. It was very very thick. No antics this dinner.
sorry this is so long.
Part 2 to come later today.
