I'm jealous of everyone else telling about their experiences last week, so thought I would join in with MY family's experience!
We traveled with 4 adults and 2 preschoolers. I wasn't sure how I felt about this at first, but it wound up being nice, since my husband and I were able to have a date night and ride some of the "grown up" rides!
I wound up doing extensive research and reading these boards like crazy before our trip! My mom and stepdad thought I was insane, but I honestly think that's a huge part of why our trip was so amazing!
The crowds seemed pretty huge, but the lines weren't bad! It was navigating through the park that seemed craziest! We had single strollers for our girls and I had my husband take the lead, and I would follow, and my parents would follow me. It took skill
It was too busy to really walk together, but the crowd levels were only 3-5 depending on the day! Which made me glad we went when we did!
We did meals at CRT and Chef Mickey's and found both to be perfect! I didn't go for the food, so I wasn't let down at all! That said, I agree that the food at CM leaves much to be desired....but again, I don't care! My kid's faces when they saw each character made the cost of the meal worth it! I enjoyed my breakfast at CRT, and again.....my girls expressions made the experience priceless!
Every day we hit the parks at rope drop, which was awesome! We got on several rides right away, since waits were so short right away. We could have been near the front of the line for A&E after our breakfast on May 4, but since we had a FP for it later in the week, we opted to meet Rapunzel first! It was pretty funny because they weren't ready for us! They said they never see anyone so quickly for that line!
We made it to all of our FP, and loved that we never had to wait more than 10 mins. Honestly, even without FP, we didn't wait more than 15 mins for anything, I don't think... That was partly because I made sure to book FP for the things that typically get longer waits, though. ...and speaking of FP, we rode 7DMT twice and I LOVED IT! So did both of my girls! My mom felt sick after, though!
Every day we took an afternoon break. Our first day my husband and I left the kids with my parents and had our date night....but the other nights we mostly stuck together. We took a night to just let the kids play, then one night we went to Downtown Disney, and the other night we went back to MK. I did plan to get back earlier than we did every afternoon and evening. However, my girls held up well and we were having such a good time that we didn't take as long of a break as I thought we would, any of the days. It was perfect thought!
We also traveled with peanut allergies and had awesome experiences. Other than our 2 character dining experiences, we only did quick service meals. At every place, someone was brought out to talk to me, so I could feel safe with the foods available for my girls. I was happy to find out that they could have most things....minus desserts! However, they did enjoy the Dole Whip with me! Amazing!!!
It was honestly the best trip ever. I was expecting some frustrations, but really didn't have any! I think being organized was a huge help....but I also made sure to let some of my plans go so it could be more relaxing and less rushed. We did all our "Must do" items though!
Overall, we had a great trip! We already want to start planning to go again! If anyone wants to fund it, let me know
