I just checked out this morning from 7 days of DxDP! With the help of fellow Disers, I planned 17 TS meals (I know this is alot, but we are big eaters!) and here are my first timer opinions!

Here are our favs and why...
Akershus: Wow! What a great meal! Probably one of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten! The princesses were fabulous, and we were lucky enough to have Cinderella, Ariel, Belle, and Snow White.
Ohana (breakfast): We had fabulous service and great food. The characters were all very attentive and funny! The juice is fabulous!
San Angel Inn (dinner): I almost canceled this one because of some of the reviews I have read, but it was easily the best dinner we had.

Not so impressed with:
CRT: I know you guys told me this, but I was the one who just knew it would be magical, and it was not. It was rushed, had very llittle service, and the breakfast was the worst we ate...and we ate 6 different places! Glad I did it, but never again!
Liberty Tree Tavern: Our service stunk. The food was okay. We had to beg for our server to come over and the place was very empty.
Coral Reef: It took us 2 hours to eat. Our first 30 minutes we waited for our server to come to the table. My steak was burnt and so were the potatoes. I used a snack on the way back to the hotel after we left so I would not be hungry!

We also ate at 50's Prime Time, Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare (twice), Tony's Town Square, Crystal Palace, The Plaza (twice), Flame Tree, & Tuskerhouse (twice).

Over all, I was very impressed with the food. I expected to have buffets like Shoney's or Ryan's, and they were so much better. Thanks for all the reviews I have read as I was planning my trip. Hope mine helps someone!

Finally someone else who enjoyed San Angel Inn! Me and my DGF love that place. The food has always been excellent for us, and the atmosphere is probably the best in all of Epcot. Also, thanks for the mini-review of Coral Reef. Been teetering back and forth on whether to book that one or not.

Glad you had a good time!

I love Mexican food and so wanted to go to San Angel inn, but decided not to this time because I wanted to try different food from out normal. Will definitely have to check it out next time.

I had a totally different experience than you at Coral Reef, we loved it....in fact this was in our top 3 picks. We went there for lunch, we weren't rushed and it wasn't too slow either...we were maybe there an hour? The food was excellent, also.

We also had lunch at CRT...the food was good, not great...and we didnt feel rushed at all...it was a late lunch and we wanted to be more rushed actually, lol...it seemed to take forever and part of that was because our waiter messed up our bill...and this was our first ADR! He was super nice about it and fixed it w/no problem and also gave us a special fast pass for anything in the park.

Shame about CRT, we went when it was breakfast only and it WAS magical then !

I thought the same thing! DD & I ate there on 10/7 and it was just as you described. It had been a few years since we'd eaten there (before it went to 2 credits on the DDP) and have such fond memories .. I have the fond memories from this trip, but only because DD loved it and that's what mattered.

I would have been terribly disappointed if I actually paid OOP for our meal.

Just wanted to say hello neighbor... I'm just down the road from you in Smyrna!

Hope you had a great trip!

Hi Murfreesboro neighbor! We were there same time you were, but from the looks of restaurants, we probably didn't cross paths. We had excellent food at Teppanedo, Tangierine, Husker's House, and Crystal Palace. Other good ones were Flame tree BBQ and Sci Fi.
