Just back. Our typical day consisted of going to the mk in the am and then going for lunch at one of the monorail resorts, often for a little liquid refreshment to help handle park stress, then back to the parks. Hey parents need to have a little relaxation too!

Kona Cafe!! Can't say enough about this place. Probably one of our favorite restaurants. Pressed penny maker outside of restaurant and disney cartoons playing in the bar (did I say we have two kids 4 and 7?). Ordered a nifty sauvignon blanc, pricy but neccessary, and the teriyaki beef salad in crispy wanton. YUMMY! Husband had Mahi mahi sandwich and heinekin. Mahi Mahi was a small portion. He also made a vow not to eat french fries on vacation so it left him with less to eat. I feel the need to eat french fries for every meal at WDW.
Another day I had the pulled pork sandwich and he had the chickn cesear salad. He was pleased with the dressing, not too much or too creamy.

Grand Floridian cafe. Went for the pino grigio, sauvingon blanc was too steep for luch. Both husband and I had the Grand Floridian burger, guacamole, jerk sauce, onion, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Pretty good, a little sparce on the beef. We did note that the bill was much more than our kona cafe, even though we went for a little less caliber of wine.

Both places had great kids meals. Grand Floridian cafe had children's appetizers- carrots and dip etc. Nice touch. Each place was very accomodating with special orders for children. They were also very accomodating with crayons and extra cherries in the shirley temples.

One night we went to Concouse steak house. Pretty good. Primerib, portion good, taste fair, husband couldn't articulate why rated just fair (not a surprise). I had the shellfish bisque and it was really yummy and a cesear salad with it. Quite good. kids had pizza and thought it was good too. Overall a very pleasant experience and we really enjoyed it. sorry for the spelling errors.

There seems to be a lot of good things said about the Kona lately. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself!

We did not get to go to Kona in October. I wish that we could have fit it in. Maybe next time. I really want to try the Tonga Toast.
