Just got back from one of the best Disney Trips ever. First Disney Cruise after countless trips to the parks and resorts. Beautiful weather, awesome food, and countless character pictures and interactions than you can believe. Plus the Disney Service!! Im going to be writing a detailed trip report shortly but can answer any questions!!!!

What was your #1 very favorite thing about your cruise?

I am curious how the new dining room seating times worked. Glad to hear that you had such a great time. Did you rebook onboard?

I would say the food was the biggest thing. Lately on these boards the food has been getting bashed alot. It was hot, delicious, and very nicely presented. I thought the portions were right and if they were not you could order more. I always got two entrees each night and even my wife had two one night when she wanted the fish and steak. I thought the filet dishes were outstanding and Im used to nice restaurants. One time my MIL got a tough steak--IT HAPPENS--She sent it back without problems and within minutes she had a nice one that our server cut for her. The buffet food was way above "normal buffet" food also--Huge shrimp, pasta stirfrys, taco bar, desserts to die for..

The times have not changed for the Wonder that I know of.. Ours was at 6:00 and the next time was at 8:00 or 8:30. What was different than what I read on these boards was the rotation. We had Tritons, AP, Parot Cay for Pirate night and then Parot Cay again for the regular menu the next night. I'd read where you go back to your original restaurant on the last night. That was not the case for us be we did not care.

We are cruising on the Wonder - 4 day - on June 5. My daughter & husband are going also, & she is interested in the movies that they are showing now. Do you have that info?

Hi Bill and Barbara,

They show of variety of movies that have just been in theaters and some older classic ones plus usually a new release movie. Im looking at my Navigators and some of the movies were:
The Incredibles
Ice Princess
The Pacifer
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (new release)
Pooh's Heffalump movie
A Lot Like Love
National Treasure
Ladder 49

The theater is awesome but didn't use it because of all the other activities and we had perfect weather. If it had rain or been overcast we probably would of spent some time in there.

Mike

Thanks for posting to let up know how it went!
Would love to hear what you guys did in Nassau and CC!

Hi UGAFan

We had been to Nassau two years ago on RCCL so we went back to our favorite stores. My wife was looking for another dress that she get compliments on. After that we went back to the ship for lunch and then went to the straw market. Got alot of stuff real cheap by bartering. They will go as low as possible besides free. Got a outfit for my DD that the vendor started out at $25.00 and we ended up at $5.00 and a really nice beach bag that we saw in the stores for $22.00, we got for $10.00. Now we know the quality isn't the best but for the price it was awesome. Plus you get to see other things, like how they actually carve ships and designs out of a piece of wood right before your eyes. We then stopped at the liquor store and got a bottle of coconut rum so we could drink on the ship. That's another Disney advantage over other cruise lines. My in-laws took the Nassau city and Atlantis trip and said it was awesome--Worth the price to them and included the dig. After our shopping trip we just enjoyed the pools and the sun with the kids.

Castaway Cay-- Now that was awesome. We just basically played in the water all day and enjoyed life. I brought my mask and snorkel from home and spent about a hour and half all over the outer edges of the snorkel area seeing the sights and fish. Not a ton of fish like at coral reefs but enough to make it worthwhile. Getting the snorket vest was free and easy and worthwhile because it saves your energy while swimming. My two kids enjoyed two activities of the clubs on the island to break up the day. My wife and I walked to the Serenity Beach and walked in the water in the afternoon. Can't believe how low the water gets with low tide. Hardly anybody was there which was shocking. Had two drinks while we waited for the tram to go back to the family beach. Played in the water again the rest of the day. Then got back to ship and had a ice cream cone before relaxing for Pirate Night which was awesome plus the fireworks.

1. Do they show late night movies?

2. What time did you leave Nassau?

TIA :teeth:

Thanks for your quick reply. A few more questions:
Did you have any children in your group? My grandaugher 1 1/2 is going & wondering about a few activities like the fireworks on Pirate night: what time do they set off the fireworks? (wondering about the little one staying awake for that) Is the Charles Marshall Band still playing on board? I guess that's all the questions for now! Thanks!

The last movie is usually starts at 10:45 or 11pm. No late night movies

The ship leave Nassau at 7:30 sharp and you are expected to be on the ship by 7:00pm.

BILL & BARBARA

I have a 8 yr son and 4 yr daughter. They liked the clubs but were only in them a couple of hours a day. They were having too much fun with us. You can pick and chose what activity they want to go see. Going in and out of the clubs is very organized and the staff is great and there are alot of them around to have fun with the kids.

Fireworks are around 10:15 to 10:30 in two stages around the Pirates show that I won't reveal unless you want me too. My kids danced to the music and pirates and everything was awesome. Afterwards we went to the buffet grabbed a table and just relaxed. You can be in your room by 11pm with the kids without a problem.

I don't remember the name of the band but they only played during the day that I know of...The music for the Pirate Party was pre-recorded popular hits that will get you in mood for a great time.
