Just back - II exchange Palm Springs CA

Just got back from our first II exchange using our DVC points. We exchanged 160 points for 1 wk Fri-Fri stay at Marriott Desert Springs Villas II in Palm Springs. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The Villas II are newer units than Villas I. Our building was a close walk to the main pool complex, which we used daily. There is no trash/towel service, although the villa was amply supplied with towels and other necessities. Check in went "mostly" smoothly, although upon entering the first villa, we were a little surprised to find it had not been cleaned by housekeeping. We returned to check in area and they quickly reassigned us. They do give preference to Marriott owners as far as room requests. All we wanted was non smoking for health reasons, which we were given. There were many planned activities and the resort was conveniently located; driving was no problem. We would consider another stay at this property, which was 100% occupied at check in. What was the weather like? My spring break is always in March, around the 19th, and I am looking for different places to visit in the US at that time of the year.

We booked as soon as some of these "new options" were added; I can't exactly remember when, but I want to say maybe April or May of last year. We did not need to waitlist. The weather was absolutely beautiful. The Palm Springs area usually doesn't get alot of rain, but this is a fluke year, so they've had a lot. I was worried that I might be leaving snow for rain! But while we were there, it was gorgeous, high 70s and sunny every day. A friend is there this week, and it's been in the high 80's every day for her.
