Wow, I just read a couple of reviews about some folks that were unhappy with their stay at the Holiday Inn Orange Lake, and am truly sorry they did not like the resort. We on the other hand had a lovely time. Not once were we asked to do the tour and the check in representative was super nice and helpful. Our 2 bedroom condo in the East Villas was large and clean. The carpets looked like they were relatively new. The master bedroom had a large whirlpool tub with a king bed and the 2nd bedroom had 2 queen beds with a second bathroom. The unit also had a full size kitchen, tv with dvd player, a washer dryer, and .... a screened in balcony overlooking the golf course. Our unit was in building 64200 on the third floor. We stayed in the unit for 3 days and overall it met our needs quite nicely. We did not find any issues with security either. It is a huge resort and a car is a must.

Thanks for the review. We often split our stay with half on the property and half off. We have looked into this resort but hear so many negative reviews we hesitate to give it a try. Maybe next time.

Do you have to pay for everything there, like mini golf and lazy river floats? I thought I heard you have to pay.

Yes you do have to pay, but it is very convienient.

We are there right now and this is our second time staying here.......We are in East Village and WE really like it.

We live in Fort Lauderdale and just came up for a quick trip and got really good rates this time around.

Dh and i played put put and went to driving range.
Both were satisfactory.

Last time we did the lazy river. We ended up with floats that were just rolling along the river unattended. but it is REALLY nice too and the whole pool area is great has Several hammoacks and a great place to lounge.

We have stayed at Orange Lake 3 times and loved it. I am always surprised when I read negative reviews. Glad you enjoyed it too!

I stayed there 2 years ago at Easter time and the resort was lovely. The condos were clean and well-kept. The main pool area is really fabulous and the smaller pool near our condo was very convenient. i was with a friend who owns a timeshare there so we did not get asked to go on any tours.
