I only did DDP for 3 days the remaining days at stayed at Swan Hotel and could not be on the plan. This actually worked out great because after so much food, I was ready for no more desserts. okay..here goes.

1st day: got into world and had late lunch at Wolfgang Pucks in DTD- I had the chicken ceaser salad served over a pizza type bread. OMG was so so delicious. So big you can absolutely share this. I am sorry I did not. DH had a roast beef/veggie foccacia(sp) also very very good. You can not get bottled water or seltzer here on the plan so we both had sodas. For dessert we got a cookie and creme brulee. Cookie was wrapped so we brought it back to the room. I was so stuffed that we did not eat until the next day.

2nd Day: DS and DS friend who I will now call DSF ate lunch at tusker house. both had chicken sandwiches and loved them. They got the chocolate cake for dessert ..both said it was too filling. DH & I were at MGM so we ate at backlot express. I had the chicken caeser salad and DH had grilled turkey sandwich. Just okay, not bad.. Not a big fan of counter service in mGM so I was satisfied. Will say the desserts were great. we had a parfait and cheesecake. The parfait is to dye for,,,just take the blueberries off because they are extremely overripe or stale. but it was really good.

That night we had dinner at Chef's de France. DH &DS and myself had lobster bisque.(mmmm) DSF had the french onion soup(looked great) I had the flounder for entree, while dSF and DH both had steak, and DS had the short ribs. My fish was wonderful , steak was good but the short ribs were horrible. Do not order them. they are extremely fatty..not edible....
but dessert on the other hand was fabulous. DS had the creme puff with ice cream and chocolate sauce.. DSF had sorbet which I should of got and DH had the mousse. I had the macarroon. It was not great. Partly my fault for I thought it would be coconut macaroon based. Trust me I was so full, I was very happy.

Day 3 Lunch: at LTT -DH,myself, DS and DS friend who I will now call DSF...myself and DSF had the crabcake for appy, DS &DH both had mozzeralla sticks. crabcake was wonderful and sticks were good. How bad can you really make these. for entrees both kids had burgers. my DS claims these are the best burgers in all WDW. I had the turkey and DH had the pot roast. Mine was okay. I thought pot roast much better. For dessert... I had the biscuit with strawberries, blueberries...all I can say is yum yum yum
Forgot what others had but it was all different and they loved it all. Our server Vanessa was wonderful. We had a friend join us for lunch who was not on the plan She shared all our meals and our desserts. Nothing was said.
I tipped Vanessa accordingly. Great person

That night DH& I ate at Pepper Market. he had a steak and I had chinese noodles with chicken. He said his steak was good, my chinese was just okay. I was able to get seltzer here though. For dessert we took 2 honey buns back to the room. Knew the kids would devour them in the morning.
Kids ate at cosmic rays in MK and had burgers. They liked them.

Last Day: We had lunch at LeCellier. Once again our friend joined us at last minute. They were very accomodating and squeezed her in at our table. My DS had the cheese soup, DSF had the steak Kabobs and DH had shrimp while I had the mussels. Soup was great as well as the steak and shrimp. However, do not ever order the mussels. Overdone and mushy. tasteless, I didn't even finish them.. moving on...DH & myself ordered filets, kids ordered the sirloins. Delicious Delicious, Delicious. Btw, we shared appys as well as entrees with friend.

Time for dessert. mmmmm.... the best ever.....kids got the smores, and I got the huckleberry dessert and DH got the mousse tootsie roll. mine was so so great...so good that I ordered another one for friend so she could have her own. Once again we had a terrific server who we did tip well..

As for snacks, we got some ice cream once then forgot about it. Time was almost up so we ran to BW bakery and got some items and then got 2 popcorns ..

plan was very well worth it

Final Day:

Thank you for describing your meals. You made everything (except the ribs at Chefs) sound so good! Can't wait to try this place.

you will love chefs de france

actually lunch is great there too

service is wonderful

I'm hoping I can just point to the menu. There's no way I can pronounce the entrees :)

Sounds yummy we are trying Chefs for the first time this year. Thanks for the review.

Excellent reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

Great reviews! I was really surprised, though, to see that you didn't like the mussels at Le Cellier. I had them in December and thought they were wonderful . . . so good, in fact, that I plan to order them again in October. I wonder if you hit an off day or if they've changed their recipe. I hope they were just "off" that day, 'cause I really liked the way they fixed them.

Pat

204 days and counting . . . again!

Were your kids under 10 years old? If so, they were able to get the 'smores at Le Cellier? They weren't limited to fruit cup or ice cream sundae? Thanks so much...

sorry kids were over 10.

From what I read on the boards kids choices are not so great.

what is the price for DDP for kids under 10?

You are so full on DDP that you could give your kids your dessert and just take a bite or two

What???? You mean I would have to share with my kids?? No way! ;) Really, I don't mind. I will have to share some anyway because I have a 2½-year-old daughter and she won't be on any plan. I'm sure I'll still have to feed her though... For the price of the kids meals on the DDP, it is not such a bad deal. $10.99 per day. My kids will really be fine with ice cream sundaes at the TS. I was just wondering about other choices. No biggie. Thanks!
