Hi
I will do a TR soon. We had a great time at the fort. DS loved the new slide!!! It is very fast and we had to catch him at the end. :goodvibes!!!

SIL got bit by that yellow and black fly thing. What the heck was that? She had to go to the doctors when she got home!!!!

Crowds were light!!!! At least for the morning and early afternoon.

I am going thru FW withdrawals now!!!!:sad1::sad1:

Biting flies!:scared1: What other types of critters do you need to watch for? How do you prevent encounters with them?

Let's see,

  • Beer-stealing otters
  • Chocolate-stealing squirrels
  • Brain-eating amoeba
  • Gators (the 2-legged party animal kind and the four-legged bite-you-leg-off kind)
  • Water moccasins
  • Panthers
Did I forget anything? Not that any of these are big concerns, assuming you stay out of the water and don't wander into the swamp.

:santa:

My SIL was sitting next to me on the deck. I am fine. I think she just had a reaction to the bite.

You forgot those horrible Bunny's that have the nerve to eat the grass!!!!! I saw them everywhere!!!! Beware.:)

yep them there deer flies can bite pretty dang good. but as Donnie says us crackers must be immuned to them. They hurt but that is all.

PANTHERS....lol... ok i missed something on that one...:rotfl:

don't worry about panthers. Florida panthers are endangered here. Panthers don't like people and don't show up where people are. Same with gators they stay away from people. If a gator shows up at the fort he will be gone asap.

This list doesn't seem too bad. I don't mind sharing the food and don't plan on going anywhere near the swamp!

We saw those deer flies last summer when we were at a rest stop in GA. I don't remember if we saw them in WDW. :confused3

the gators will only be gone after they grow up. Last year there was a baby one in the canal by the 300 loop.

Don't forget the Armadillos who are in cahoots with the otters!!
