Just back from Wyndham Palms

It was wonderful!!! Our condo was tastefully furnished, extremely clean, safe and wonderfully convenient to Disney. I can't say much about the pool, convenience store, etc., as I was way too busy park hopping for eight days. Coggy may be able to post more on this, he spent more time on the grounds than me.
But our condo included one master bedroom with private bath, and two other bedrooms, one with two double beds and another with a queen bed and walk-in closet and private entry to the bath. All our linens and kitchen gadgets were provided, along with washer and dryer, hair dryers, irons, etc. I know next time not to pack so much, its all there!
The only down side to the condos is you have to check out and return the key to the main office by 10 a.m., but it wasn't that great of an inconvenience, we just left 10 minutes earlier for the parks.
We are hoping to go again in October. Closesttodisney.com greatly recommended, Simon was great and our whole party is so spoiled, we don't know if we could ever stay in a hotel again!

It is definitely hard to think about a hotel. We're looking at possibly returning to WP in October!

My f-i-l is at Wyndham palms today, and he will be making the final decision to build a house there or not. My m-i-l called last evening and she said that they looked a several lots, so I think its looking good. I hope so, they said if they buy now the house will be ready in november but we wouldn't be able to live in it yet. Well live sub vacation. But maybe it will be ready for my and DH's 10 yr anniversary in January, which would really help with the costs. Any other good reviews of Wyndahm palms? I would love to hear them.

We just returned from Windsor Palms (that is the new name). Stayed 9 nights and rented directly from the owner. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and very nice. I believe the website is vrbo.com where I got the info. This is a board for owners to list their properties.

It is about 5-10 mins from Animal Kingdom Lodge through the back entrance on Sherberth Rd. The pool is nice and they have a gated entrance which makes you feel safer.

Unfortunately for us they are building a new condo right next to the building we were in and the workers start around 6:30am! I would go back and stay there again. I brought very few dirty clothes home with me since there is a washer and dryer.

We drove around a lot and I think Windsor Palms was the nicest place we saw.
