Just back from Vero Beach, Block Party, Cirque. Said Hi to Katrina.

We enjoyed another "no kids" trip to Vero last week as a belated anniversary present to each other. Checked into ocean view room Monday 8/22 after gathering groceries and boogie boards at Publix. We were on the 3rd floor (2333) with a nice view. Planned on doing Typhoon Lagoon before the block party Tuesday but enjoyed playing in God's water park instead. The block party was short but sweet for us as we had 6pm Cirque tickets (25% dvc discount). The show was great and we celebrated dinner at House of Blues (20% dvc discount) and enjoyed the Comedy and Adventurers Club's on dvc. (We thank DVC for underwriting this day of our travels!) It was a long ride but got back to Vero by 1am. On Wednesday we splurged on the lounge chair/umbrella setup and hung out at the beach for at least 8 hours. Thursday brought high seas from Katrina but little rain. We enjoyed watching the locals surfing and hanging out at the Green Cabin room. We checked out Friday with little or no ill effects from Katrina over the night.
