We went to Universal on Nov 2. We were staying at Disney and drove to the park for 9:00. It is alot of walking even to get to the entrance of Universal. Anyway we got our tickets and went to Islands of Adventure. It was another long long walk to Harry Potter, but we finally got there. We headed straight to the Forbidden Journey. The wait was 30 mins. Walking through the castle was fun. The ride is the best ride I have ever went on. It's like Soarin' on steroids. After that we tasted Butter Beer (regular and frozen). Both were good, but I liked the frozen better. We had lunch at the 3 Broomsticks (it was just ok). Ollivanders was closed, but they were selling wands outside. The stores are so small. We walked into the candy store and the line was crazy. Since the candy store is connected to the joke store we just paid for our candy in the joke store (no one was in line there). We ended up buying house glasses, screaming yo-yo, extendable ears, joke egg, chocolate frogs, Sirius Black Wand, T-Shirts and butter bear mugs. We went on a couple of rides in Islands of Adventure. I don't really like this park because it seems that most of the rides get you wet. I'm glad I went, because I am a Harry Potter fan but it's an expensive day.

Sounds like you had fun and yes, Harry Potter is an expensive guy. At IOA, 4 of the 16 rides can get you wet.
