This was a last minute decision for my son's Spring Break. We've had such an AWFUL year we thought we'd just run away!
The decision to stay onsite at Universal is a MUST, the front of the line perk is too good to pass up. I got a buy 3 get one free day on www.hotelkingdom.com which made it more affordable. Then I needed a room for two nights before I checked in. I got the Wyndham for $38 a night on Priceline just a few days before!
The Wyndham was WAY better than I thought it would be. What a DEAL for $38! Clean, beautiful grounds, lovely room, it was a very nice hotel for the price.
Of course, the Royal Pacific made it look like a ghetto!!
The second day after I got to the RPH I had a BAD accident on the boat dock. I fell headfirst on concrete and literally busted my head open. The Universal EMTs came to my rescue and not to mention two wonderful ladies who were on vacation also, who happened to be registered nurses from my town of Atlanta!
I spent the night at the ER but the catscan revealed I was going to live...
The next three days the RPR treated me like ROYALTY! I was picked up by the hotel from the hospital, transported to my room in a wheelchair and they even catered food for us! WOW!
The Resort manager asked me to call him the next day. When I called they transferred me to his HOME! He was so concerned about me and wanted to make sure I was okay. The accident was no fault of theirs, it was mine only, I just missed a step while trying to make my water taxi.
Needless to say I had a very memorable week in Orlando! It was a great trip, though, despite my mishap.
What to do now? Making plans to go back!
