I had some real concerns about bringing my 18 month old with us. She wants to be out exploring on her own. We ended up having a great trip. Most of the time she was ok with being in her stroller and we would give her time to walk around on her own. We brought a travel pillow with us. A little pillow that Walgreens sells and we covered it with Disney fabric. She loved it and it was a priceless. When she would get tired she would ask to lie down on her pillow. She took naps everyday in the stroller and about 10 at night would pass out in the stroller until we put her in the pack and play at the room. One night we even stayed at the MK until nearly 3 in the morning, the older kids were enjoying walking on the rides so much. Another lifesaver was a small blanket (actually more of a infant towel) and extra large plastic clothespins. I covered the stroller with the blanket to keep the sun out while she was sleeping during the day, and to keep the wind out when she was sleeping at night. We had a great time. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about traveling with a toddler.

Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you had a great trip. I'll have to remember the little pillow idea for our trip next year. Our youngest DD will be 18 mos then.

Glad you had a great trip. I've gotta ask - how were you at MK until 3 in the morning?

We're taking my son who will be 16 months in a few weeks. Did you have a full size stroller or more of an umbrella stroller? We have a Chicco that has a sun shade and reclines somewhat. He usually won't sleep in it, but I'm hoping he will at Disney! Thanks for the tips!

Magic hours were from 12-3 this past thursday, probably due to Easter and school break. The park was empty. We had a full Graco stroller. My daughter had never slept in the stroller before which I was very concerned about. It does recline all of the way. She had never slept with a pillow before so I think this was a big deal for her and she loved it.

WOW!!!! I would love to be in the park that late!

We took our Peg P3 to WDW for our DD and she loved being in it too. She took several naps, even during parades and fireworks.

We took our 18 month old DD last year and had a blast!!! She was always a good stroller baby so I wasn't worried but she has recently gotten cranky when she has been in her stroller at the mall so it will be interesting this September.:confused3

You mentioned clipping a blanket to the stroller to keep the sun out...well there is this great product that is especially designed for that called the Ray Shade. Here is a link:

I think it was around $15 but we used it everyday so well worth it! It extends lower than it shows in the picture and does a great job of keeping out the sun. We also had the black one and it even made the stroller dark inside and perfect for naps! They sell it as babies R us and Walmart...just wanted to plug it for others to be aware of!
