Just Back from the Wonder - New Parrot Cay Menu is the BEST!

Thanks so much for sharing the new menu. We don't cruise again until Feb, and I think it will take me that long to decide what to get! I want one of everything!! :teeth:

OMG - Looks great!!!

Now, you all did say that the servers would allow us to try more than one of each appetizer and main course, right!!! :Pinkbounc

Now I really AM looking forward to Parrot Cay!

Okay DCL - you brought back the chicken strips, and the Shrimp on the buffet - WE WANT COCONUT SHRIMP!!!! :p

Thanks SOOOOO much Barb

Thanks for posting this, Tony! I like how they have the "lighter fare" and the vegetarian listings on the menu now too. :)

For those who are dissapointed by the absence of coconut shrimp, check out the offerings at Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse or at Bubba Gump's if you are fortunate to live near one (we have them at Navy Pier). As you probably guessed, I am a coconut shrimp fan! But since I can get them at home, I guess that the avocado soup and crab newberg on the new menu has to win out for me.

Thanks Barb! That new menu is making me hungry. It is interesting to see that they now have an APPETIZER and A 1st type of Course SOUP or SALAD.
Hmmmmmmm and Creme Brulee Cheesecake definately sounds edible.......

just reading that new menu at Parrot Cay, it sounds GREAT!! I hope they make the same changes by the time our 1/18 cruise on the Magic gets here!! :D

Just back from Dec. 1st four day Wonder. On the 4th night we had a Best of... menu at AP. I ordered an appetizer that consisted of calamari, mussels, and yes coconut shrimp. I see why everybody loves it. Also had the mixed grill at PC that Barb mentioned. I too felt that the shrimp was the best part. I enjoyed everything that I ordered except the chilled onion soup at Tritons. A little bit went a long way. This being my first cruise, I was impressed. Ken

I too like the way the new menus are constructed - there certainly do appear to be more choices than before.

A whole chicken? That strikes me as a tad excessive. I can't even imagine eating a whole chicken. Heck, my family of 4 can't eat a whole chicken. How big are those chickens? Or are they really the size of cornish game hens?

Maybe the whole chicken is roasted and then you get servings of it? as opposed to something that is cut and then cooked? I don't think they will give you a plate with an oven stuffer roaster on it! I know they overfeed you on cruises but not THAT much!

We just got back from the 3-day Wonder yesterday. Did not like Parrot Cay at all 2 years ago when we went. Loved it this time. I had the onion soup, mixed greens, prime rib, and chocolate cake for dessert. Tried all the desserts that night except the lemon one (tried family members) and liked the chocolate cake and pecan pie the best. The pecan dessert was wonderful. The cheesecake was fine. My 10 year old had the prime rib dinner and cleaned her plate. I was so pleased that they changed the menu because this was our last dinner rotation and I was not expecting such a great meal. Loved all the dinners we had at each.
