We just got back from the Swan, and the hotel was wonderful--great service and room. Best of all, the LOCATION. I'm so glad that we were in the Epcot area! Let me know if you have any questions about the Swan or parks--we went to all of them.
Welcome back! Glad you had a wonderful stay. We will be splitting our stay in September between the Swan and Poly. We really enjoyed our last visit there! What wing were you in? Last time we were in the West Wing with a view of MGM. I would like to try the East Wing this time.
Hey Sherri!
Welcome back! Glad you had a great time.
I am one that would love any info on the Swan as this will be my first visit there.
I've learned alot from everyone so far and the only request I've put in for was a corner room with an Epcot view.
I paid $149/night with the govt. rate. We were on the east wing in room 642. We had a view of the lake, Dolphin, Boardwalk and Beach Club. The room was just around the corner from the elevator, but not too close where noise from the ice machine would bother us.
I booked through Dreams Unlimited. They were very helpful with PS's and getting in-laws a suite.
I believe it is set up with motion detectors, but I found it to be very efficient. The room would be a little warm when we returned from the parks, but it cooled down quite quickly. We actually found the room to be too cold sometimes. I finally figured out you could turn the fan down from 3 to 2. You could also raise and lower the temperature. I've heard rooms with balconies have problems with the A/C if the sliding door isn't closed all the way.
