Just back from the Magic four nights. Let me know if you have any questions.

Did you drive to and park at the cruise terminal? If so, is it still a garage sort of far away and you have to take a bus from the garage to the Disney terminal/testing area? I think I've seen something like that from one of the test cruises, so just curious what current parking/bus procedures look like.

Thank you!

No we used Uber we are from out of state. So we didn't see the garage. Sorry

thank you so much for your answers!
what are the hours for the buffet? is it possible to skip a restaurant for dinner and eat there instead? for example, if nothing at lumiere's appeals to me could I choose to eat at the buffet instead or do i have to eat where I'm told?

sorry but did anyone order room service? the room service menus i can find online actually look better than the main dining rooms. I'm hoping it's still the same

DCL has never offered a buffet at dinner. The buffet is open for breakfast and lunch only. It closes around 2pm, I believe.

Cabanas has traditionally been open for dinner but as a full service, sit down restaurant that serves the same types of meals as the MDRs. I don't know if they're still offering this now, though.

The pool deck quick service locations are still open at dinner time. There is room service, but I didn't order it last month so I can't speak to its current menu- typically its menu is pretty limited. Palo & Remy are options, too. You don't have to eat in the MDR.

We ordered an All Hands on Deck (Cheese & crackers) and a fruit bowl. It was very good. The other items that I can remember was a steak panini, Hamburger/Cheeseburger, Hot dog, BLT, Chicken Ceaser Salad, grilled cheese and pizza. Other things I can't remember.

You want to try the food at the MDR. You would be surprised at how good everything tastes. I order things I wouldn't normally order and I have liked everything. Even my very picky daughter loved the Duck Confit. Please don't be afraid to try things. I ate the grouper one night I usually don't like a lot of fish but is was delicous. If you are not sure order a back up Entree the staff is good about encouraging you to try new things. You will not be shamed if you order more than one entree or any course.

This is so true, we have tried a lot of different types of food that we would never try before.
The first time I tried caviar was at Palo, its not terrible but I would never order it in a restaurant anywhere.
The wait staff is just trying so hard to please you, I love that about DCL.

How was the embarkation process? Just got off the Fantasy this morning. Thought embarkation was a mess. Leave for Magic in two weeks.

I'm not normally afraid of trying new things, I just hate the idea of wasting food, I feel like it upsets the waiters and kitchen staff. I know I've already paid for it all, but still. It feels too rude to order a whole meal just to decide I don't like it and send it back.
