Just got back yesterday from Sheraton Vistana Villages. We had a 2 bed 2 bath condo with full kitchen, washer/dryer and whirlpool tub. Had a fantastic time. If you have any questions ask away. Also went to seaworld and universal.:thumbsup2

I love this hotel too and trying to find out the lowest price. Can you share where you booked this hotel? Thanks,

I booked a package deal thru southwest vacations. It was a great deal that included flight, universal tickets, sea world tickets, rental car and hotel. But that was back in August I think. Check them out or call them. Our price for 9 days for a family of 4 was $2564! THe deal had buy one get one free tickets in it.

Hi1 We are staying on Disney property for 4 nights and at Sheraton Vistana Villages for 4 nights. We are doing Disney and Seaworld. We are a family of 4. Our childresn are 16 and 11. What section would you recommend? I know the property is large so maybe near the main pool or I would prefer the newest section. Thanks for your help!:)

Hi! I have to admit that when I first heard that we were in the new section (amelia, I think?) I was disappointed. It looks very far away from the pool on the map but in actuality it is only a 3 min walk. Since the pool is open so late I was glad not to be close. Some loud people could be heard walking back to their room, I couldn't imagine being closer. I love the serenity of our spot and would pick it again in a heartbeat. We overlooked a large pond with fountain. THere is a new building being worked on right next door but it is only indoor work and we never heard any noise from them! (painting, plumbing, decorating) We were in building 26 #209. My sister was in #208 and it was exactly the same as ours except mirror image. Our rooms were very close to the elevators and we never heard anything. These buildings are very well made and the sound proofing is amazing. My sister has 2 little ones and I couldn't even hear when they got up in the morning. AMAZING!
Here is the review I put on tripadvisor dot com...
We just returned for Sheraton Vistana Villages yesterday. We stayed in a 2 bed 2 bath condo in building 26. Although not right beside the pool only a short walk (3 min) to pool. Pool open till 1 am so I was happy not to be too close. 2 gas bbq for use outside every building. Beautiful grounds. Soon as you walked into the condo you walked into the kitchen with large granite island (with 2 stools) with sink, fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher. In the corner a h/e washer/dryer. to the right was a bedroom with 2 double beds and a large plasma tv (kids loved it) with sliding door to the large bathroom. Double sinks and granite counter top. Large deep tub and shower. Bathroom had another door open to the kitchen/dining area. Dining area had banquette seating for 2 plus four chairs. Living room had pull out couch and one chair and 2 stools with coffee table. Large plasma tv in LR. Patio doors at the end ot the room to large screened in area with table and chairs overlooking lovely pond with sprinkler in the middle. Loved having my breakfast out here as well as reading in the evening. Master bed to the right had king bed with plasma tv and large ensuite bath with large jacuzzi bath tub, 2 sinks and granite vanities, large glass shower (big enough for the whole family!!) and toilet in a water closet. Both bathrooms had blow driers. Ample storage in closets. Safe is in master closet. Down comforter and pillows. Comfortable firm beds. THe only thing that I didn't like was that at checkout they charged me $1.50 for making two 1-800 calls trying to sort out my cell phone. THis was not posted in the condo or in the literature they game me so I refused to pay it. Beware of possible phone charges. This would not stop me from staying there again. We loved it and sorry that we are not there now! We had daily housekeeping but that is extra. Usually it is a once mid week to drop off more towels. Pool towels are available but you get a towel card and exchange it for a towel. At check out you have to hand back in the towel card or get a $20 charge per card.
If you have any question just let me know. Have you been to sea world before because I have some must do's for this park if you are interested!:goodvibes

Hi thanks for your information on this resort. We drive by it often and it looks beautiful! I called the resort today and requested Amelia. I too was afraid of on going constuction and the noise. I am so excited to stay at this resort. We leave tomorrow!!! I am also glad that the rooms are somewhat sound proof and the newer section is only a 3 minute walk to the pool.:)Thanks again!!

Can you tell me if the pools are heated. How large are the outdoor hot tubs? Do they have live poolside entertainment? Thanks.

They have one really large heated pool with a walk in and kids splash area at one end and another quiet pool just for adults. THe hot tub is nice and hot and can fit easily 8-10 people (just a guess).:thumbsup2

I would love any information you have on Sea World. We are undecided as to whether or not we should take this "side trip" from Disney.

This year was our first time to Seaworld and universal. I am a huge mickey fan and have been 6 years in a row. Universal was so so. Seaworld was amazing! Its a much different pace. Makes you slow down and enjoy everything. You can touch and feed the stingrays and dolphins. This was the highlight of our trip. The shows a seaworld are amazing and worth seeing. Its like its are a combo of animal show and cirque du soliel. There are so many shows to choose from. "Blue horizon" show is a must see. We also saw "believe" which was amazing as well but the blue horizon was our favorite. The park is larger than you think and you need a full day but well worth it imho. Seaworld is my new favorite park. I think we will be going back.

We're staying at the Villages for the first time this year (we have always stayed in Vistana Resort before). A few quick questions, some very random:
1. Is there a playground with a swingset? I believe there are several at the original resort.
2. Is there a place to get take-out food on property?
3. And finally, did you drive to the parks or take a shuttle? If you drove, approximately how far was it to Disney property?

Thank you so much! We are really looking forward to our trip, but it will be a bit odd to be someplace different.

We were just at the Villages in Dec and loved it! Got an awesome rate on allears.net - $86/night for a 2 bedroom!

There were 2 playgrounds. We went to one - my 5 year old son loved it. No swings, though.

There was a restaurant that looked like it would have take out. Didn't try it. Domino's, Subway, and McD's are within a 2 minute drive.

Don't know if there was a shuttle (probably) but we drove. SUPER fast and easy. Just turn left out of the resort and then turn right on 536 and you're on Disney property in under 5 minutes.

Someone else asked about the pool. It was heated. I took my son swimming about 7am when it was still pretty chilly (probably low 60's) and the water was very warm.

Great central location for all parks incl seaworld and universal. Very close to great shopping and restaurants. I believe I read that they do not offer shuttles to the parks.
