DH and I got home yesterday from POR and stayed 3 nights. We stayed there before when it was Dixie Landings but we didn't enjoy it as much as this time. I requested Panterre Place and got it (I directly called the hotel, didn't fax, and also talked to central reservations because they were missing one of our nights on the reservation). Room 9725 was a garden view (not of the parking lot, which was good) on the second floor and close to a quiet pool. It was quiet, romantic and I really like the way they redid the rooms. The Sealy mattresses are so much better. The mattresses at the moderates are uncomfortable, but the new ones were much better. The bedspreads seemed thicker too, which was nice. Mousekeeping was great. He made a tie out of the towels, and did all sorts of things, like wrapping towels around soap bars and putting towels under my brush, putting Pooh in the window, etc. We didn't use the buses - we like to drive to the parks. We did not have a fridge in the room and we didn't ask for one (had a cooler and really didn't need it). Went to Epcot and MK - so many people - yikes! F&W Festival was fun. POFQ is my favorite moderate, but now I think POR might be tied with it.
