Just Back From Por 10/22-10/28!!! Loved It!!!

I plan on writing a long trip report once I get everything unpacked, but just wanted to let everyone know how much our family of 4 enjoyed POR. The resort is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Check-in was a breeze! I requested AB section and we got it! We were in building 25, which was only about a 5-7 minute walk to the main building. I had requested building 18, but must have been full. I was very happy with our location though because we were close to the West Depot(on of the first stops so the bus was never full), close to a quiet pool, and also close to the laundry. EXCELLENT location!!! The AB section is so full of foliage and peaceful!!! The room was nice and clean. My kids really enjoyed Bob Jackson, the piano player. My DS7 wanted to go 2 nights in a row to see him. He was AWESOME!! Don't miss him! He gave all the kids autographed photos and they did all kinds of kids songs with the kids on the stage. I know there has been lots of talk on here about the hit or miss bus service, but I have to tell you, we never waited more than 15 minutes for a bus. Even after Illuminations one night, the line was extremely long, but we got on the second bus. They had 2 pull up at a time. Some people were complaining about standing, but as long as we had a ride back, we didn't care!!! If you have any other questions about this resort, please ask!!! POR is my new favorite!!!!

My MIL booked this trip - we'll be at the PO French Quarter - that is different right?

POFQ is next door to POR, yes they are technically seperate but within walking distance of one another and they do share busses. Both are really nice!

We loved it too. Stayed there in April for the Flower & Garden Festival, and definitely would return. One of our favorites

DH and I just got back today. We also loved. We where in 2802. We never used the west depot only the south. We never found a issue with the buses.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We stayed at the end of August during free dining and the resort was full. I had requested closer to the main building but got 25 also. We were disappointed for about a day and a half and then realized what a nice location it was! We never waited long for a bus either. I wish I was back
