We just got back from a 6 night/7 day stay at Poly and I can tell you that we loved it :Pinkbounc . We did Concierge and it worth every penny!

The Volcano pool was my DDs favorite place - morning, afternoon & night! My 6 year old DD went down the slide so many times over our stay that we lost count. My 4 year old DD loved the snacks and the fact that she could serve her own juice. They both loved the beach buckets they got and wanted to bring them home but we talked them out it since we were loaded to capacity.

The rooms are great, big and comfortable. Service was excellent. Becky & Sarah at the Concierge were fantastic especially since we changed our minds every day on what we had originally scheduled and they were so willing to help with a smile on their faces.

Marilyn in the Planning Office is the best - she arranged for my DDs to receive autographed photos of their favorite princesses which were waiting for us when we arrived and the girls had smiles from ear to ear.

If anyone is questioning about going there, don't hesitate, my 6 year old even said as we were leaving "I want come back here for longer next time".

Poly is the best :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Thank you for your wonderful report! We'll be staying there for the first time in July! I can't wait!

Thanks for the report. We'll be staying there for the first time in June. Did you notice any mold, odors and did the room seem freshly refurbished? I'm a little worried about some of the reviews I've seen. Thanks!

I just can't wait to return in the fall. Did you happen to try the Surrey bikes? I was wondering how many they hold. We'll be 3 adults, DD(5), DS(3), DD(1).

I hope you can let us know if you were in GVC or LVC and about the food offerings, especially in the evening!

Thanks,

Pat

Thanks for the report. Glad you had a great time!

Your comments are EXACTLY why the Poly is my favorite!::yes::

I can't wait to soak in the "Atmosphere" in July!:cool1:

WE are leaving on Friday to go to the Polynesian and I can't wait! Thanks for the report. Are they still working on any of the longhouses?

Thanks for the Poly update - so glad to hear you had a wonderful vacation. Further to another poster, I was wondering if you stayed GVC or LVC? Do you think LVC is worth the extra $100/night? Also, are there sand toys at the beach for the kids to play with? You mentioned your kids wanted to bring them home - were these from the resort? The pool sounds great, and I am sure our 7 and 10 year old will enjoy it too. One last ???
how did you arrange for the photos to be in the room when you arrived? Thanks for the replies......

hannahryan - I saw one of the longhouses was being worked on but it was on the outside, they were putting in some beautiful foliage.

lovesdumbo - love your name, my 4 yo absolutely loves Dumbo and sleeps with a stuffed one every night. On your question - we didn't try the bikes but saw quite a few people using them, we opted for the watercraft and loved that - my DH took it out for about an hour with my eldest and they went all around the lagoon and over to Wilderness Lodge.

Pattymouse & cdnliving - we stayed GVC and loved it we sat outside and it felt like our own private garden. We were in 1531. We met some people that were staying on LVC and they liked it with the exception that they felt it was noisy in the morning with people walking the path. We had sand toys given to us when we checked - just a small bucket & shovel but it was perfect for making sandcastles.

On the food in the Lounge - it was continental breakfast which was perfect for us, they had sweet rolls, fresh fruit, cereal, assortment of juices, english muffins, toast and bagels (living in NJ -the bagels they had weren't that good, compared to here). The afternoon snacks - great cookies (butter, oatmeal & choco chip), M&Ms, dried fruit, soda (which were there all day - a great thing for a Diet Coke drinker like me), bottled water, coffee, juices (the orange-mango is fantastic:hyper: . I was never there for the appetizer service since we were out at the parks after nap time.
The evening service was great - with little dessert tarts, cheese & cracker, the wonderful cookies and all types of cordials and coffee)

gottaluvpluto - you're going to love it. Tell us when you get back which room you had.

I hope I answered everyone's questions. :)

cry4WDW, I'm glad to hear you had a great time. I hope you don't mind if I ask you a question. We've stayed concierge before, but haven't been since they did over the Hawaii building. Is the top floor still the smoking floor? We were there last August and stayed in Tahiti where they had moved concierge while they worked on Hawaii. The smoking rooms were half of the third floor, so I'm just wondering what they did to the Hawaii building. Thanks for any help!!

czy4WDW, I noticed that you mentioned bottled water was available.
Can you get bottled water to bring with you to the parks now? I know people have posted that bottled water was no longer available.
It would really make my family happy if we could get bottled water again.

Thank you for your report, we are staying there in Oct/Nov and my son is so looking forward to the pool area. Glad you had a good time.

The half of the third floor closet to the lounge is now non-smoking.
