WDW is actually the best place for a honeymoon.....we had the most magical 8 day stay. We began at the AKL....wearing our wedding ears we checked in to smiles and congratulations....our savanah view room was beautiful, with giraffes nibling on the trees outside. We relaxed all day and had dinner at Booma. There we received a lovely card signed by the cast members. offering their congrats in their native languages. We were also surprised by a beautiful dessert tray, with cookies and chocolates. It was yummy. We then went to Pleasure Isaland to dance the night away at 8-Tracks (Yes we are over 40). There everyone was so nice. While dancing a disney employee approached us and asked us if we wanted to set off the fireworks at midnight. Of course we did. We got to go back stage and meet Frankie and the West End Boys, press the magic button, intro the band and we got great Tee Shirts!!! What a first day!!!!People even stopped us to take our picture!!! The next day we went to AK and while eating at the Tusker House we got approached by another Disney Employee to see if we wanted to ride the Rafiki Float in the Jamming Jungle Parade. I felt like a fairy princess waving to the crowd and making the little ones smile. That night we went to the Hoop Dee Do Review, were we enjoyed a dance with others who were celebrating honeymoons and anniversaries. Throughout the rest of our stay we received many well wishes, special desserts, a bride shaped out of towels at AKL, balloons at the CR, sung to by the British Invasion at EPCOT,great photo ops with characters and a lot of Disney Magic. Wear your ears, my dh had the best time!!!!The AKL is the best place to stay. The only good thing about the CR was the location, it was great to walk to MK.
Good luck to all who are planning disney honeymoons!!!
