We just returned last night from a week at OKW. This trip we took our 2 dd's, DH's parents and my brother's wife. We had requested an upper floor by the hospitality house and that is just what we got! We were in a dedicated 2br in building 11. Parking was never a problem. We were always able to park right outside our villa. The view was mainly woods with a partial view of the fairway on hole 8. The room was in good condition although we had only 7 dinner plates. I assume one broke previously and no one has noticed yet! We did have problems with the toilet in the master bath clogging up. Maintenance had to come and fix it. We took full advantage of the free valet parking at VWL, BCV and BWV. We went to BCV to view the models and just check out the resort in general since it is one of our homes now. We had dinner one night at Artist Point and the dinner was excellent. I highly recommend the salmon. Everyone was very impressed with the lobby and the resort in general. Went over to BWV twice. Once to sign our BCV docs and another time to pool hop to Luna Park. We arrived right after a torrential downpour and the pool was not crowded at all. The kids absolutely loved the slide! That being said, they were just as happy to swim at OKW. It rained quite a bit, but we seemed to time everything just right and didn't get too wet. The most stressful part of the trip was arriving in Orlando. We drove from Kansas City, MO over 2 days. When we got to Orlando, I-4 was closed due to a tanker truck fire and ALL of the traffic was dumped off by Universal Studios. It took us 2.5 hours to get from Universal to WDW!! We had planned on going to Hard Rock for dinner, but there was no way I was getting back out in that mess again. Fortunately, our villa was ready when we arrived at 3pm, so we were able to chill out for awhile. The rest of our trip went smoothly and our only regret was that it wasn't long enough!
The only Disney park we went to this trip was MK. I was completely surprised. We arrived about 20 minutes before opening and were able walk onto all of the rides in Fantasyland without any wait. We were also able to see all of the characters at Mickey's Toontown Fair with a short wait. We had made up an itinerary for the day and we had completed almost all of it before 11am! This worked out well as we had a much larger break in the afternoon before heading back for a few more rides and the parade. By the time we left for our afternoon break, the park was packed and stayed that way until after the fireworks.
Now only 11 more months before we get to go home again!
