Returned on Friday from 10 nights at WDW. First two were at OKW. We had a 1 bedroom the first night and a studio the second (didn't clear the waitlist). Now I understand why everyone raves about OKW's 1BR! It was great. Studio was fine for 1 night for just my son and I.

Next we moved to the Polynesian for 3 wonderful nights. My husband joined us there and also stayed for the first of our 5 nights at BCV. We had a great 1 BR lockout with a view of the Fairy Ring. We could see the Illuminations better from this room than we could from a 4th floor Spaceship Earth view that we had in Dec.. Could also actually hear the music too rather than just snippets of it. I also found the noise from the road more muffled here probably because of all the landscaping.

My DH says DVC is growing on him.:teeth: Now I just have to get him to stay at OKW and I think he'll be hooked.

Any questions?

What is the fairy tial ring view.
I have an add-on at BCV and I have never heard of it?

There is this narrow yet large concrete ring in the lawn on the Epcot side of BCV. It's in the middle section of that side of the resort. It doesn't serve any apparent purpose so I call it a Fairy Ring. There was a long thread about it which is supposed to be very funny that I never read after the first few postings.

I saw your post and found this thread buried.LOL Glad to hear your DH is starting to enjoy DVC. I'm jealous of your long vacation as this last 7 day just didn't seem long enough to do/see lots and relax too. What did you think of the bus transportation at OKW & BCV?

Hi, Jennymouse...how was your trip? I imagine I was at WDW when you posted about yours. I'll have to go hunting!

10 nights was great but by the end even my son was ready to call it quits on the parks. On our last full day, he just wanted to go to Downtown Disney for awhile. I'm sure the heat and humidity played a factor in that.

We didn't use the buses from either resort. Sorry. How did you find them? During our Spring trip, my daughter and I used the bus from the YC one day when we'd been over there after lunch in Epcot I think. Anyway it was horrible that midafternoon. I think we waited about half an hour and there were families there before us.

Sounds like you had a great trip! Good to hear another great report! Did you mind all the moving? I have had the fairy ring view as well and really enjoyed it! Great view of illuminations. I missed the canel a bit, but I think I liked it better. What room number were you in? You say you had a SE view previously. Were you still able to see Spaceship Earth from you fairy ring view? We were able to see it off to the right, it just wasn't directly in front of us like when we were down the hall.

Terry, we couldn't see SE at all but we were on the second floor on the wing closer to BC if that explains it. I thought perhaps SE would be visible from the rooms above us. We loved second floor though as well as all the landscaping in that area.

The moving wasn't bad at all. While we were at OKW, we didn't take too much to the room anyway so that was very easy. If all of 5 of us were there I don't think I'd do it. Certainly wouldn't have wanted to do it when our children were small. But my son and I have reached a point in life where we have the gift of time so we were not in any rush and enjoyed the process.
