Just back from Ohana

I am sitting in my cabin at the Fort barely moving after our first encounter with Ohana! I have wanted to try it for awhile and finally did to celebrate my birthday. We had a party of 6; me, DH, DD, DDBF, BIL and SIL. It was great! If you have any doubts about trying it don't worry. Our reservation was for 8:50. We were seated within 5 minutes. As soon as we sat down the server took our dring orders and the food started rolling out. Everything was fantastic. Our whole party loved everything. My favorites were the chicken wings and the bread pudding but everything was great. We finshed right in time to go outside and see "Wishes". A great way to end my bday celebration.

I really need to try this place. Do you get enough bang for your buck? My parents wanted to try this place a few times, but the menu never sounds that good to me. Do you get enough food? Thanks

You get a HUGE amount of food...and they bring as much of it as you want! We had to refuse some of their offerings of skewers of really great meat as they just kept coming back to fill your plate with more (and it was fabulous)...but we had to stop eating before our stomachs exploded! I can't even remember how the Bananas Foster tasted since I only had a 1/2 a bite I was so full (and I ALWAYS finish my dessert!

Like emma'smom said, you get huge amounts of food. They bring it at a pretty fast pace though, (at least they did for us) so you kind of have to consciously slow down to enjoy and savor it. I have heard many people say the meats were dry. Ours were all cooked very nicely. Steak medium rare, the pork, turkey and sausage were all juicy. The peanut sauce is great with the turkey! As for the sides....mixed vegetables were ok, potatoes were really good too but the star of the meal is the meat.

Try it! The comments from our party were all raves. And they all want to do it again.
