just back from HIFS

How much is it to do a load of laundry here?

We will most likely be onsite our first week then here our second. I just was wondering if it will be cheaper to do the laundry here than at Disney?

Does anyone know if they have connecting rooms...
and did you feel that you were always buying food being that there isn't anything else in walking distance

thanks!

I'm pretty sure that they have connecting rooms. There was a door in the wall and the kids on the other side try to open it one day. I think there was also a connecting door in my in-laws room on the first floor.

Enjoy your stay.

HIFS is the BEST offsite hotel for families with small children. BUT, HOWEVER, READ CAREFULLY, it is OFFSITE. I strongly recomend renting a car. Their shuttles run spottily and never seem to go where and when you want. Also nothing is next to the hotel. The nearest resturant is in the Gaylord Palms or Marriot a good 15 minute walk. Take the money you'll save on breakfast and rent a car. If its the first time you ever rented one at disney you'll wonder why you never had one before.........TAZ:cool:

How do you get the Entertainment rate? Do you need to purchase the Orlando area book? Thanks.

When you purchase an Entertainment book (no matter what city) there is a card in the front of the book. I believe you need this card at check-in. You can purchase the book for any city.
The 2003 books (most coupons expire 11/30/03) are on sale at entertainment.com for $10 plus $5 shipping.

You can call and ask for the Entertainment card rate without having the book yet (this is what I did). If it is available you can reserve your room and then buy a book.

We made a reservation but then we got into a moderate on Disney grounds so we cancelled it at HIFS. We just love the Disney magic:Pinkbounc

I am so so excited to hear all of these positive things about HIFS. I just went to a travel agent the other day who gave me a price of $1430 for 4 nights there plus our 4 day hopper passes for all 4 of us the first week in December. I think that is a good price but maybe you guys on here could confirm that for me.

I think you could probably do better than $1430

4 Day Park hoppers if purchased on line in advance are $192 for adults and $152 for children.

HIFS during the first week of December is probably around $86 a night with the Entertainment Card rate (if available).

I'd call HIFS directly and ask :)
